A excellent share ,and a wonderful production to share with the world ! of life in west London today .
When I was young ,1950s through to about the 80s , this was where I lived went to church / worked and played . Now I m 72 , this is a trip back to those days !
My lady and I went onto win the London in bloom compotion , for Unigate p.l.c. a local company , for converting a commercial sight ( their head office ) into a floral garden sight , for their employes ! .I have not been back there ,for all these years to see the changes , but it still reminds me , of friends / fun /school and work collegues , who have been and gone !
My life was to take me to France , where I live to this day . and haven t been back , and funnily enough , I find here in my new community , so many people from acton who even played in the same park /schools , etc , as myself in Acton .
Recently I had a old friend pass into Gods wonderful , kingdom , so I created a triology of 3 songs , with a friend who is , from Warrington , and lived here in france .with his family too , SO TELLS the story of both , communities and the journey through life !

Haven't been in Acton in such a long time the High Street has changed wimpy gone 😂. Lived in South Acton and walked to Acton Vale quiet a lot .

HA , HA , just woke up thinking about your video , and days gone by ! that small area you walked around , was the home to Rock , music , from the WHO to Lionel Bart , for Equipement , too JIM MARSHALL was born there , and set his shop up on the uxbridge rd Hanwell , also BURNS guitars / Fenton Weill , behind the town hall as well . in churchfield road you had MINDER filmed there , ( the Winchester club ) ,4 doors away was maurice plaquets , music shop , John entwistle was a permanent fixture ( there was 100yards away where John went to sunday school / boys brigade and got married to his child hood girlfriend there but its now a block of flats ) , next door was a rehersal studio in the basiment , Gensis , Adam Ant , Marc Bowlen / T rex , all rehearsed there plus countless more , one of my old bands , had Ginger baker , and Kofi Baker , join them to play on drums at one time or another . ( that was the rehersal studio , by north acton station )
theres just so many , Adam Faith , went from selling evening news papers at gypsey corner ( he lived on the council estate by acton park which you went through ! ) to big star / actor / manger of Leo Sawyer , plus his good friend Roger Daltry , who lived near by too !
If you want to do another video , in that ,near by, area try latimer rd / portobella rd holland park , its littered with musical history !

Thank you for all this information. I am very impressed with your knowledge of the musical and cultural heritage of the area. Yes, Portobello Road and the neighbouring areas are planned to be filmed. But they are a little more central. I am going the other way around, I start from the edges and move inwards. :). That’s because the more central parts are more known and have already been covered so my videos will not appear much in searches. But yes, when I am done with the outskirts I will gradually move in. My channel is still young and I need to focus on places that are likely to appear a lot in searches otherwise it will grow slower. :). Let me know what you think of my music. I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you again for your appreciation and time. I hope the weather in France is treating you well. Specially with these heat waves and all. Me, personally, I don’t mind the UK heat waves. While everyone else was complaining about the heat, I was pretending I was somewhere tropical and remembering my trips to the rainforests. :)
