This Lion O is definitely worth the wait. I love the amazing detail and artifacts from Thundera included. The more look at the sculpting of figures more closely; you can see the patience and skill put into the creative process. Thanks for a great review!
I had Lion-o, Panthro, Thundertank and Hachiman with assortment of toys. This new upgrade from Super 7 is going to be tight but it really is cool with the tome. Good Work, Michael!!!
Great video, very thorough - I didn’t even realise the dagger was removable. Got this boy and Panthro as a self-birthday present, and I’m pretty happy with them, and looking forward to hopefully being able to add the rest of the main cats from the upcoming waves. Good to see original Lion-O again, he was one of my childhood toys - I spotted him at a toy fair last year but the price was a bit steep without any accessories, and now I feel this new Lion-O is a worthy stand-in for him.
As an 80's kid, I somehow missed the old animated series. Saw it on Hulu (I think) and decided to check it out. I was expecting MOTU levels of cheese and animation... Was pleasantly surprised on how relatively good it is.
It would have been cool if they had a light up eyes feature on this figure. Really cool still though, and I think I like the muted colors on the new figure.
I think the claw shield might be that big because you can stick the mini sword in it while it’s on his arm. Although I had to drill mine out a little because it stuck out too far. I don’t disagree with the flaws you pointed out but I’m really looking forward to seeing characters that never got a figure finally get one
I think Super7 could have put more effort into improving Mattel's design of the figure (instead of focusing on several sets of additional hands and claw shields) but I'm nevertheless happy that Thundercats is getting another shot at a "classics" toy line. I'm not typically interested in modern figures but the Thundercats property is pretty special to me. I hope this line stays alive long enough for a deep dive into some of the lesser known characters of Third Earth to get represented in plastic. Excited to see what Super7 is able to accomplish.
Are you excited to hear about the 80’s toy-line classic Thundercats figures getting a modern release? Lion-O looks the best to me and that is the one I will get out of all that’s been shown. There should be a version with Snarf though.
Dangit, Michael..... I had avoided getting these....until today 😂 just ordered wave one. But, honestly, I'm only interested in the main cast of Heroes/Villains. I'll pass on the later , New Thundera cast.
He looks amazing! I did pre-order him back when it was announced. Along with Mumm-Ra. Are you planing to get Mumm-Ra when he comes out? I loved that you did a detail of everything. Thank you Mike.
Purrfect job as usual, Michael...by the looks of it, though, I think I'll be better off sticking with my Bandai Lion-O, despite the bendy sword and unsteady ankle issues...just need to get one of the new Origins He-Man figures to go with him at some point, so I can finally have the ultimate DX-style 80s cartoon tag-team, as seen in the awesome He-Man/Thundercats crossover comics that came out a few years ago, yes?
I agree Michael, the articulation is a let down. However, seeing how most or all of the time I will have it posing on display, it doesn't matter that much to me. I think I got mines because like a lot of super 7 figures, I love their sculpting and cartoon accurate depiction. Couldn't get anything like that in the 80s. Are you going to get the rest of the figures on the line, like Jaga?

Thanks Droz!

Some nice poses on him, especially the two handed ones.
Love these Super7 figures. Really looking forward to how deep this line can get!
Wow Lion-o looks really good! ive heard that people didnt like panthro but Lion-o looks awesome
Love having my morning cup of Joe to these videos. Keep it up man.
I am convinced I could watch you review anything I'm not a fan of the Thundercats but that was a great review that kept me engaged the whole time

Very cool review of Lion-O, the accessories are really cool and the interchangeable head and hands, it is awesome. Great video Michael, you rock.
Good things come to those who wait.
My favorite version is the original original! Michael no need to worry - you got the best version by far!
Thanks Michael, now I'm singing the Thundercats theme song.
I really have to get this Lion O, he looks perfect.
They did one in the look of the 80s LJN figure too: www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/205192?o=4

Awesome figure Mike! Congratulations and great review friend!😁👍
Really awesome, i just got all of Thundercats ultimates wave 1.
As an 80's kid, I somehow missed the old animated series. Saw it on Hulu (I think) and decided to check it out. I was expecting MOTU levels of cheese and animation... Was pleasantly surprised on how relatively good it is.
Great review! I have all 3 versions of Lion-o, not much difference between this one and the Matty version.
The background music is gold 😂🤣😂

Even the box is nice
Nice video. Thanks!!
I prefer the paint on the Mattel version but can't bring myself to pay eBay prices when this is now readily available.
Great video.

That's my plan. Thundercats and jager. The two mum-ras, slithe, jackelman and monkian.
Nice review Mercy. I think it's better than the Bandai one...especially in scale.
Nerdmasté! 🙏🏽🌈👍🏽
My favorite thundercat is tygra and lion o
A cats lair 😱 I thought a thundertank would be pushing it

I agree with you a Michael... I’m not a big fan of He-Man body for Thundercats too...
Preferisco la versione originale anni 80
Great video just order the Super 7 teenage mutant ninja turtles Raphael.
