  • Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) is an approach to transform agrifood systems toward green, climate change-resilient practices. In this P-talk, Imelda Bacudo, Co-Chair, Global Alliance for Climate-Smart, UN FAO, will share how CSA could enable achieving triple goals: sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes; adapting and building resilience to climate change: and reducing and/or removing greenhouse gas emissions where possible.

Congrats Tad, excellent speaker and facilitation. The issue for many small farmers is that they are still unfamiliar with the concept of climate smart agriculture. So how can this concept be brought down to small farmers level? As mentioned, CSA is not completely new, but ordinary farmers think this is something new because of the terminology. I guess the extension people should be able to explain very well the concept of CSA and CRA.

Thank you for this P-Talk. What will be the first step to adopt CSA? Thank you.
