The time when I must leave approaches,

She turns Danish into a beautiful language. Sorry Danes, but it took a Faroese to achieve this.
She makes the words sound as if sung out of another century, magically, winterly.
Maybe you haven´t heard much... Listen to Sorten Muld or Ane Dorthe Michelsen singing Danish. Or listen to the words, so profound and deeb thats hard to achive in inglish. Eivør is doing it exelent, she is making us feel the profoundnes of the words even without need of understanding the meaning. Thats why she is great artist.
@@FM-lr2qj My family is from the Faroes, and I have spent a lot of time in Denmark. I know it is possible for a Dane to speak Danish beautifully, but the average Dane simply doesn't. The chopped-off vowels do not make for pleasant listening - at least to the ear of a native English speaker.
@@donepearce You are rigth, danish is n ot easy and have a lot vocals that dosent exist in other langueges. I have traveled trough england and not everywere they are speaking beatifull like you hear in downing street. I know also a couple of lageges that sonds more beatifull than inglish. But the most important is that all people in hole world feel free to speak their own languege without been judged and critisiced.
@@FM-lr2qj English probably has more different accents than any other language (in England, not so much in the USA), and they are all great. In England we are sued to them and have no trouble understanding each other. Americans generally have trouble understanding any English person who is not from London.
Last time I was in Kobenhavn I stayed at a hotel with a receptionist I could have sworn was from Manchester. No. She was Danish, but had worked in Manchester for a year. She was an amazing linguist.
