@AUNZ RAILFAN , this way by far one of your best. Everything was so beautiful, I could really see myself living happily in an area like this in Japan. Thanks so much for all your hard work, and for allowing us to travel to places we might not physically ever get to. Big hugs to you!
I am passionate about Japanese culture, always preserving its traditions and the environment. Each landscape I see has been more beautiful than the other, shown on board these trains that resemble trams.
So many dragonflies around when this was filmed. They must also get a lot of snow in the winter, given the number of tunnel portal sheilds. Nice video.
I remember watching a video of railway line in Japan which is been operated by an individual and his team. That line was supposed to be closed. The most impacted would have been the elders staying along that line. So to make that line viable, this team runs a monthy special service where the train runs for 8 hrs back and forth on the 30 km line. Makes people remember the night trains which is now kind of dead with the commissioning of Shinkansen. They also implemented other ways to keep the line alive. Like placing one's name on the railway fish plates. Any clue which line is this? Can u take a video of this line too.

This seems to be a very tourist-oriented route: pauses to take pictures of field art, multilingual station announcements. A lovely summer ride.
Love all of these, thank you so much!

I feel the same way. Hoping you're a fan of Studio Ghibli films and Hayao Miyazaki as well.

A beaut video. Not sure why it’s there but I like the ‘field art’ in several places. 🐨🇦🇺
角館からの逆ルートでも駅名とトンネルの長さの表示がなかった事がとても残念です。
Nice video but a shame there wasn't one passenger brave enough to ask that yabbering woman to put a sock in it.

Good
Beautiful train ride through spectacular country scenery. But please tell that woman (recording?) to stop talking so much!
@Ben Chuft Shut up.
Could you tell me the gauge of this railroad? Thanks!
@Ben Chuft
Thanks!
At 2.23 you can see that the other line is wider - Stephenson's standard guage (1435mm.), in fact. It is for the Akita Shinkansen.

Thank you! It is the same metric gauge used in the United States, England, among others.
