The Armour Regen shown and calculated here is only for Memento, as it seems to work differently to "normal" Armour Regen. Thanks to D15P4TCH for confirming this.
i found umbra with memento backpack very efective with liberty and bulwark shield. umbra helps wind up slow rpm waepons = gain liberty stacks faster, so you kill fast for memento trophy. if needed aimed haedshot repairs shield. anytime you feel you can go behind a cover for regen. its enough regen to go for demolitionist for 5% aoc damage, you can soak explosion damage every 60sek which is nice warning bell. it is not for legendary content but turns heroic activities into cakewalk
Yeah this is the only time it's useful IMO. Basically run away then re-engage and pair it with firewall. Given how little damage is needed for PvP when compared to PvE it makes sense to spec in to some sort of survivability although with that said I think regen GENERALLY is still overrated just a bit. If I had to pick between hazpro and regen that decision is a no-brainer for me (hazpro). Not really my cup of tea in terms of how to play but yes, it is pretty much only good in this regard. PvE... it can be fun but is a waste of time. Just gimme DPS and Gunner. I'll be fine 😉🤣
Kudos for having a crack at this although this is going to be complicated. I tend to run gunner specialisation for the AOK and typical all red variant of ND or Striker. What the Memento provides is more armour (core), bonus armour and a stronger shield which in part helps with preserving armour and allows you to stay in the fight. Taking cover then allows the regen to kick in for the armour and potentially your shield. Clutch on the other hand requires crits to activate which means you need to be out of cover. Incoming was interesting. But shield/Drone/Turret versus chems... The players playing style needs to be aligned with Regen solution assume one chooses a regen solution at all. Food for thought. Good luck.
I like to have armor regen for healing up between mobs in PvE. It also helps while doing Run-n-Gun so I don't have to be so precise with popping a med kit. I look at it as a preference, but I get what you're saying. Good video.
@Dod-Regnbue that's cool. Regen is still more fun. Just my opinion. Doesn't matter how much dps, ttk, and aok a player has if they don't have good movement, accuracy, and situational awareness, the only thing you'll be out performing is a baby in a crawl competition. At the end of the day, it's about preference. Can't calculate fun with spreadsheets.
Hey, this is great. I'm new-ish to D2 and I'm trying builds, especially differences in types of DPS. Can you do a video on Negotiator Dilemma...Do you need to use Groupo or Chyeska with it...Thanks 👍
Use ceska if you're below 50% crit chance or grupo if you're at 50%. I use grupo chest with obliterate and foxes prayer needpads but you could use a fenris piece or use both grupo and ceska. I'd also use the negotiator backpack
Question related to this, kinda... Is there a way to stack *bonus* armor with this? Other than heartbreaker that is. Cause I'd really like to stack a nice buffer on top of my armor 😅
So preservation and gunner will keep red builds going? With one incoming repair mod, and the second skills as a self healing drop green canister thing (brain fog, I can recall the name) ?
I'm sorry but this time I don't completely agree with you, I have an Emperor's Guard with double rolls of +1.0% Armor Regen and that changes the whole equation.

Noice video. To me this is one of the more interesting ones. Kinda makes me wanna make a perfect clutch build again... butttt nah. My favvvveeeee PvP build for a while was unbreakable and clutch with demolitionist purely for cheesing the crisis response talent. Risky but fun.
Sometimes the enemy ping/lag doesn't help, so many talents don't work well in DZ, such as clutch, strained, slow / low RPM weapons, builds focused more on CHC/CHD than weapon damage (laggy enemies seems to make RNG crits harder), etc. This is why everyone runs adrenaline rush, perfect efficient, AR damage, catharsis and picaro. Some guys with good aiming even use more HSD than CHC/CHD, 'cause that makes the higher damage more consistent.
@@marcoonroad7 didn't Efficient talent get reworked so people can't chest swap? Not saying its unusable by any means. In heavy fights if you can find cover, having a 75% chance to not use a medkit and bonus spec buffs is nice but I'm usually shooting too much to use it

I have to respond to this one more time, you are 100% wrong. ALL the math you do in the shooting range is useless, Armor Regent works when you face an opponent within a certain distance and the more opponents around you the more Armor Regent you get. I can stand between 5 or 10 opponents and my Armor Regent keeps filling up and I can take them out 1 by 1 without losing any Armor. You have 29,560 Armor Regeneration, I have 80% Armor Regeneration and that's against 1 opponent, for every next opponent I get another 80%, so do the math if I'm between 5 opponents and a changa, I've got it tested between 7 opponents and 1 changa and my Armor only went up. And I killed them all without using a shield.
my 7% armour regen skill build says otherwise. When everyone else on my team is runnin for cover, I'm runnin up to enemies and smacking them in the face just for giggles. It also lets me play super aggressively and be super mobile. I have no problems running around the battlefield reviving teamates.
Can you explain how you got *7%* regen? And don't you just get melted in legendary anyways or is there some kind of mechanic to prevent you from dying?

I have yet to make a build that puts out 600k plus damage per bullet with an AR or SMG. I’m doing something wrong or this is with max out expertise
Why not include the Fixer Drone, or Mending Seeker, or Catharsis.
These are addition to your ability to survive, external tools, not your actual survivability.
It might be because it's a percent of an increasing armor regenerating, not percent of total armor?
For what part?
Whoever said the best defense is a good offense never played this game. 1.8 or 2mil armor crit crit gives you plenty of survivability and damage

There is a 95% AOK build floating around, not sure how it is achieved. The issue is, getting the Kill for the Armour gain.
