As a blind person, it is really important that we find a way for him to have consistent tactile path information- perhaps you can find a way to outfit him with a rectangular AMD he can push. We make belt canes for smaller children. It is an important new concept for the field to understand. Not being able to see where you're going is dangerous and having tactile information is a huge help. The solution will not be easily found- but I encourage you all to continue to seek it. This video shows his capacity- but it also shows his willingness to trust others. The first time he walks and bumps into something unexpectedly - will begin to erode this trust. It is important we seek better, more effective white cane solutions for folks as wonderful as Brian- he deserves it!!
