I picked this box up literally a week ago and split it with a buddy who wanted the nids. Def worth imo if you want either faction just on the insane value even if you pay the full $250.

This box is so worth it if you can find it and even better if you can get it discounted. I wanted to start a nid army and bought 3 and when my buddy wanted to start a marine army he bought one for himself and sold me the nids for $50. It loses value after 3 or 2 copies (but I assume whoever is reading this is not utterly insane) as the marine half is very character heavy and the tyranid monsters can't be run in multiples, but most other things in the box can have multiples of and still be very good.
For $50!! Sheeesh that was a great price for sure!! Yeah I liked this box, it’s been fun to build and paint 🎨

To ask on a thumbnail "Is it worth it" referring to a box that is out of stock for months is quite interesting. Hopefully no newcomer will look at this video and think "nice box, gonna get my self one".

The tyranid carapace looks neat. How did you get the speckled effect on it?
Right! Lol what I did was pretty much painted everything the base color then I used a thick dry brush with black paint and flick the bristles so that little splats would fall on the back then after that, I used a dark reddish color for the skin again as a layering color to get rid of the black speckles on the skin. I hope that makes sense lol 😅

@@KYF40k yea, same. However, I'm pretty good at getting things built and primed. Currently, I only have 3 unopened boxes. That's only due to a trip to Japan I have coming up.
