Hello 💗💗, I’m thinking about joining physical therapy college as a plan B if I wouldn’t join medicine .. Is physical therapy similar or close to medicine? Honestly I’m kinda scared because some people said that I will be working like a nurse and it’s similar to nursing .(for me I don’t prefer nursing at all I just want something similar to medicine )

hi!! physical therapists are doctors, so we have our own scope of practice! we can work independently and on our own unlike nurses. it’s different than a medical doctor in the sense that you get to spend a lot of more 1 on 1 time with a patient which i absolutely love. hope this helps! 🤍i would shadow a PT to get a better sense
