I stumbled upon Kim’s on Netflix (long b4 Simu became a Marvel superhero)…and absolutely LOVED it! I TOTALLY related to the characters bcuz they reminded me of my own family members even tho I’m not Korean. 😍
His self confidence you can feel through the screen. He's super comfortable in this interview.
As an Asian, I can understand his parents' reaction. Like my asian parents always say:
"Just be yourself.
If you are a doctor.
Otherwise, be an engineer or an accountant."
Or lawyer lmao 🤣

What I love about Stephen is that he does his homework about people he interviews. Even if he doesn't get the details right, he asks with enough pizazz about the interviewee's life that they can add to the conversation by correcting the details, rearranging the thoughts in an order that the audience can understand, and boom! another guest that becomes a friend because both sides feel valued. Simu is great, I hope he becomes a regular on the show
I agree. Stephen is a natural for being curious like his talk show hero Dick Cavett.
And we are so proud of Simu! Such a sweet and natural guy. He likes this stuff!
