My method to maxing last year was to no life a 99, think about what to do next, quit for a week while questioning why I'm not playing because it's xp waste, force myself to start the next skill, no life to 99 and repeat
One skill a year is honestly a great plan once you are in the high 80s. Maybe spend a year getting to 80s, then another year to 90s then you focus maxxing one skill at a time. It usually takes a month or so to max a skill from 90 to 99 sometimes less.
@@farminherbs I did one month membership here and there honestly breaks and sometimes even one level at a time are the way to get it done. I like like 5 agility level with 2 months of break in between.
I think the end of your video got cut off somehow. Great video, currently around level 70 for my main account. First time playing OSRS in my life, enjoying it so far!
Depends on the player but yeah probably more like 5-40 for average. Like I haven't attempted inferno, but done nex, hmt and pretty much any boss minus awakened dt2. I can't imagine it taking more than 12-15 attempts
Great advice! Enjoyment is really what it's all about. Happy New Year, and keep up this great, fun, useful advice. If there was a Content Cape, you've earned it.
My goal in 2025 is to have at least 2 99s, even if it's a cheat/money4time way (wines for cooking). It will be done! I have none so far and little gameplay time. Just about to go to Family Crest, get my cook gloves, build up a pot of cash whilst getting exp then go for broke (wines). Someone below said about 4m cost? Sounds good to me! If I get bored or need a break, bash out a couple of quests and then back on the grind. Husband bought me a Switch for xmas, it's collecting dust lol
I'm 80 seconds into the video and I gotta say, this guy is frickin based. "My first word of advice, is ... don't." SO REAL (speaking as someone with a max skill level of 50 on anything in osrs) Then bro pulls out proven structure which can be applied to all facets of life. As a business student, love that.
Crazy to see anvil smithing being profitable. Still gonna stick with Mahogany Homes cuz normal construction hurts my mental and I can fletch between houses. Probably not gonna max before 2026, but already 2200 and hoping to get a bit closer like maybe 2240 or 2250
I've played this game on-off since like 2005 or something. still haven't maxed my account, and haven't completed all the quests lmao. Slowly but surely.
Anyone looking to max melee stats or mage, just put a heavy object on your spacebar in nmz with guthans and mage do the same while splashing on the seagulls. Literally free do while you sleep or work w/e
Something im doing for crafting right now as a daily pretty much is getting my staves from zaff, making water bstaffs with the orbs i get from moons of peril, then alching them Its nothing but profit and a chill thing to do daily But, it's not the best xp, especially later Its very much a broke method
Saw a spiffing brit video where he artificially boosts engagement and manipulates the RUclips algorithm by chopping out a section of video that was losing viewers, so the runtime of the remaining section went over 100% of the video length, I wonder if Paty did that to boost his algorithm placement. Or maybe he just derped the edit.
I think i must have clicked the undo button right before export because it took the outro track, maxed it's volume and didn't cut it to the end of the video so it was like 3 extra minutes of black screen blasting elevator music. So I just cut out the end with the youtube editor didn't cut out anything important though, just the usual like/subscribe/happynewyear etc.

genuinely thank you for the mental health aspect. There are some hardcore players out there (including myself) with ADHD, OCD, and addictive tendencies. It's easy for me to grind 16 hours a day but just as easy to burn out and quit for months/years at a time.
You mention risk tolerance and rick appetite in a different video and once i heard that i immediately knew you were in the corporate world lmfao i knew it. RIP your soul
Lol, they're now talking about RAD goals, because realistic is too lame for us, they want us to feel constantly behind as an excuse to not pay out accelerators
Recently I tried to grind Agility to 99 and it was the frieakin' worst. Using the goblin course under lumbridge, the Dogreshuun course or whatever. Then I decided, f it, I'm gonna train magic, after hitting 86 for the kalphite shortcut (which the game neglected to tell me was locked behind the Desert Elite diary), then I ran out of runes while training Slayer, and didn't wanna spend money on them so I went to train RC at Guardians of the Rift or whatever it is, had to complete the quest chain for Death Rune crafting and I was like "welp, may as well get bloods", completed the quest to get to Sins of the Father, (also for hallowed sepulchre) didn't have the combat stats for the last boss, so I said "welp time to afk nmz", ran out of money at nmz so I move to smelting at Blast Furnace for money for nmz. I swear to god this game is just a bunch of dominos falling on each other lmao. I think maxing an account for casuals just happens over time, cause if you try to max one skill, you'll hate your life like I was doing with Agility for weeks. I also churned out 88 straight hours (i.e. playing, going to sleep for 8 hours, getting back up and immediately continuing aerial fishing) at Aerial Fishing for the fish sack to combine with the fish barrel from tempoross, and that was hellish, on par with the Agility grind. This game is frieakin nuts man lmao. Not to mention all the quests I still have to do...
ehh an account doesn't max casually over time. people play for 15 years or more and don't get close to max unless it's what they decide to commit to. Agility and runecrafting are the worst, with the slowest xp rates, and you only achieve max levels in these skills if you commit to it and plan well. It's not something I'd recommend for pretty much anyone tbh. As the video says, it's a massive time commitment, and there are many other things you could be doing with your time.
@@graxtheswampgoblinarchmage5356 rc has decent xp rates mining is by far the slowest, even with tick manipulation you are looking at 100k an hour, rc doing daeyalt essence at zmi is 100k and its chill af, if you wanna be sweaty and do lavas even without any runners is 150k-200k
I disagree about the thieving, rouges chests are way better xp/hr, and you make like 3m gp/hr an hour, it's extremely chill, you can't even fail looting the chests. If you get pked, it's not like you brought any risk, so you don't have anything to lose by sticking to the method. If you wanted max xp/hr, just don't even bank the loot. (you'll bank the loot though, it's millions of gp, so what you lose 20k xp/hr, you're still getting more xp than anywhere else)
Think i killed like 20-30k ammonite crabs + however many thousand sand crabs on the way to 99 range, str, def, nagic and attack. I used to plant myself there every night while gettin reasy for bed. Got tons more xp from crabs than NMZ
I know this is a hot take but slayer is one of the worst skills in the game in my opinion. It is boring until super high levels and the xp is so slow unless you get lucky and get good tasks
Guys - im not a hater. This video popped up in my feed and i saw how popular it was in such a short amount of time. Guys - you gotta step away from this. Unless you're financially great and you have everything in your life worked out, you gotta prioritise your life. Max your stats IRL.
I am a hater. Even if you've got everything sorted out, this is such a massive waste of time and most likely going to be something you regret having spent the time doing. Hell, if you really want to grind, get into lifting, particularly strength training. I promise it'll be a good fit for you if you love the "haha number go up" aspect of rs
I’m not sure I see how RuneScape is worse then any other sitting activity assuming you enjoy both equally, would you say dudes stop watching tv go lift instead? It’s just about moderation, not spending all your time on it. But if you have an hour or two each day free, go ahead play yourself some RuneScape.
@@certainlyJesse An hour or two on Runescape every day adds up to 365 or 730 hours a year. Convert those hours into minimum wage in the UK which is currently £12.33 or $15.02. That equals £4,500 or $5480. Are you willing to pay that for membership? I thought not. My point is that your time is worth more than any game if you're productive.
stop letting guides like this scare you from tick manipulation it's literally not that stressful and the gains are insane - good guide but tick manipulation is 100% worth
IF you are not doing one skill at a time, a good method of doing crafting is to buy your battlestaffs from the guy in varrock. 120 a day with the elite diary nets you 16500 exps very quickly. Assuming you got your stats up for the quest and diaries, you would likely be able to do it in a year. Alch them for magic and good profit. When you get your daily, buy 5 more from the guy. An over looked hunter is imp hunting. Grab a bunch of magic boxes, and get 450 exp per catch. Then when you are in dungeons, store the magic boxes and imp boxes in your hunter gear and you can stay in the dungeon for you entire task, banking with the imps.

@@patyfatycake_OSRS The cut made it funny, so im a fan. Rest of the video was amazing. I like how you know a lot in this game but explain everything in a very level-headed way, if that makes sense. Loads of people overcomplicate content and how to do stuff in the game or they hammer on efficiency. Your mindset and pace in Runescape is quite unique among content creators and it honestly fits my style of play perfectly. When I see a patyfatycake upload it's an instant click on the video for me! Keep up the great work :)
While i don't recommend doing this, one thing I have done to really speed up my maxing goal gains is a magnetic phone mount you can strap to your car steering wheel - do simple tasks that only require tap location muscle memory or quick easy glance e.g cooking, glassblowing, ardy knight tapping, etc. Every bit of xp over time helps. Another tip I could give is min/max your time efficiency in a manner that works for you. Consider how your normal life schedule is for the year and strategize around the time vs xp/hr relationship. Try to go for two 99s (or close) at once and specifically 1 afk 1 attention focused skill. For my case I can do afk skills (fishing, wc, fletching, mining, etc) while at work/out n about and when im sitting at the computer i can focus on skills that require attention and lots of actions. And like you say dont burn yourself out on most efficient methods. Healthy mix of high intensity high xp and low effort low xp is good for the psyche. Sitting at 2150 total myself atm - my rotation for q1 2025 is rc/agil...rough. Get the long grinds done before I turn 30 years old lol

What game mechanics are you talking about? I just run around and shoot stuff with my blowpipe
@patyfatycake_OSRS because you definitely don't prayer flick at any point, or use pillars to safespot. Clearly.
you don't have to flick at all anymore, and hiding behind a pillar is the main intended mechanic of the inferno

“DoN’t” quiet you fool
The answer is to not have a life
Ironman guide now?
