The amount of detailed explanation, and word of caution is amazing. I have a strong belief that someone that is somewhat mechanically inclined would be able to get this valve cover job done. I was mainly looking too see if anything special was needed to be done when i go to remove one. The amount of information and how he showed as much as he could really would help anyone out. Helps me a bunch and thankful for all the info provided.
Thank you, Mario, This is a GREAT video, Good Job bro!👍
This is crazy! I saw you doing some diagnostic work some time ago alongside???? I forget, but definitely liked how you approached and explained the job and way of thinking about it. So, tonight I specifically was looking at an intermittent no start issue on a VW Passat which you narrowed down to the immobilizer...... so I got hungry for more diagnosis vids! and went to your list, and you just put this one up. I bought a Z4 last year with front end damage, did a bunch of repairs, and I'm down to coding out the adaptive headlights as I installed an aftermarket set. I got the INPA software and watched some criptive videos on coding out that feature but, they are not clear on how they get it done, so, I'm holding out on that one. I'll keep my eye out for you as someone else might have a bimmer that needs the same. Anyhoo, you're very thorough and clear in all your work, and of course, I had to sub!
Good video, very helpful!
What a cool video! I love when you explain what you're doing. Also, I always loved your intro music/song.
Thanks! I have a link in the description for the song
Eres muy valiente al desarmar esos autos 😅
the shop telling me, tell the youtube to help you xD
The reason for disconnecting the battery is because the low pressure fuel pump will prime when waking up the can bus. Opening door/touching engine lid switch or anything along the line. It squirts the fuel all over the enginebay if the supplyline is disconnected
This vehicle does not prime the low side pump when opening the door. Some do, but this one does not. Besides, no one touches the vehicle that I'm working on at my shop
might be pulling this engine here in the near future 👀
Awesome, Thanks for sharing Bro👍
Wish if you could film the diag part😉
Stay Safe Bro👍
Would be nice to see the procedure for priming the system too as anyone wanting to watch this and do the same job on their car will need to do it
MARIO! Wifey has this same engine in her X3. Was the boost code perhaps 120308 Underboost code? I’ve been troubleshooting this code and cannot find the leak causing this. Either way, thanks for the info. You, PHD, and Diagnose Dan are my mechanical heroes so to speak.
It was a 002c57 charging pressure control too low
Nice tune
have a look at ADVANCED LEVEL AUTO latest vid
Hi
Just changed my valve cover on my n20 and now I get a drivetrain malfunction message
Where is the hose connected to at 0:56?
The vacuum pump and the turbo wastegate vacuum solenoid
Step one: remove engine
You spelled "Timing Chain Replacement"wrong. 🤣
