I always love the idea of allowing a building or such to get expanded or changed. This was the perfect adjustment, and kind of reminds me of the evolution of a settlement idea. Great stuff my friend.
lol thanks! And yeah, straight to the point; I hate seein a video that looks to show an interesting technique, I click into it, and the person just jibber-jabbers for like three minutes talking about themselves and I'm like I'M NOT HERE FOR THAT DAMMIT. So I'm not gonna be that person. You're here for what I'm showing, not me, so here's what the thing is you thought you were getting when you clicked in. :)
I have been enjoying this series, but it seems like you forgot about the fire pit allowing you to sink items. I have learned a ton about the way to make a good look, but I use "Place Everywhere". I have to give you props for being this patient and using vanilla assets.
@@SarDeliac Oh, I guess I watched some of your videos out of order. Your Bunker Hill build was where I learned about it. I watch these types of videos in case I ever have to go vanilla. Thanks for creating them and I hope you make many more. You have taught me tons.
I've got to say I really like how creative you are when it comes to your building. Even your basic stuff is better than my 1x1 box of safety builds I make a each new settlement, lol.
Thank you! And I was there once as well, for sure... when/if I hit 2k I'm gonna do a stream where I do nothing but walk around my earliest builds so y'all can see where it all began haha :P
I was sad when I seen you were tearing it down, I liked it the way it was. Then you did this and it upgraded the whole thing!! It looks even better now.
Thank you! Ripping stuff down to refit it because I didn't like how it looked after I put it up is a non-trivial part of the build process for me. Happens all the time. ;)
Great build! However as you were showing off the living space & a settler walked past dressed in layered clothing it reminded me about what irritates me with FO4's build system. Boston gets COLD in winter, yet devs seemed to think nuclear bombs & nuclear winter was going to change the climate enough people could survive in open drafty (at best, windows have no glass) structures. One decent snow storm or arctic blast & they'd freeze to death. lol smh What we they thinking? Oh, right, they weren't. ;-) I've downloaded a few quality of life mods, one that gives me minimal choice of windows & another that provides brick fireplaces. I also use the burn barrel strategically to heat homes and the craft stove. I'd love an actual wood stove. Not all my player homes ect have windows by far (glass being hard to come by) but enough that it's a bit more realistic. You've inspired me for oberland station, one of a couple of settlements I don't normally enjoy building up.
Thanks! I'm glad this is giving you some ideas. :) And yeah, the climate seems to be fairly mild in FO4; nobody's dressed really heavy except the BOS, and they came from DC so who knows how chilly it is out there. But even when Father came up to the surface at dusk he didn't remark either way on the weather, and since we can pretty much guess the Institute is climate controlled and comfortable, and he was wearing his normal clothes, it'd likely be pretty close temperature-wise. Also, the raiders walk around in harnesses, and Cait comments how hot she is all the time, but since they're all on drugs that probably has something to do with it. :P
Nice one, Sar. Haven't touched FO4 in months, for some reason I got back into Skyrim as well as picking up Nioh and a few others. I really wish we could build in Skyrim, coincidentally. Mind you, the pathing issues would be on a whole other level. Not to mention settler dialogue....
I always find your videos so helpful and inspiring. The way you talk us through your build process, with tips and tricks, is really awesome!

Thanks loco! And yep, the evolution challenge is still sending echoes through my builds... probably will forever, in a lot of ways. :)
Looks good. Really like how you sunk the boxes/barrels so it showed inside and out.
Thanks! Kind of a happy accident on that one, but I'll take it. ;)
Just found your channel recently and amazed these builds are so well done. Awesome man keep up
Thank you! Glad you're enjoyin the show. :)
Chill music, no annoying voice, great building, straight to the fuckin point. 2.5K SUBS WHAT!?!?!?!

We didn't know about the fire trick four years ago. ;)

Nice job, I like Oberland myself, keep up the great builds.
Thanks, and will do. :)
15:16 Great build so far SarDeliac. I can't wait to see what comes next. Take care my friend and have a terrific day
Thanks Kjell and you too!

Thanks! And yeah, an Elder Scrolls + real building (not just modules like Hearthfire) would be sweet indeed.
Instablaster.
How! It so hard!
What was so hard, Evodio? It's all right there.. :)
