Hey Nelson, I’ve really been digging the videos-especially your ELO climb series. Great to hear you are feeling better. Possibly someone else has suggested this already, but after hearing you talk about the importance of the calf muscles, I was thinking a standing desk would be a great option for you. A desk that converts from sitting height to standing height would be the most versatile, but you could experiment with the idea just by setting up a temporary riser on your existing desk. Anyway, I hope to see you hit a million subs, so whatever gets you there is good. Take care! 🙌
Very instructive! On the 2nd intermediate puzzle I found the right move, but didn’t even realize the bishop would be hanging at the end too. Very cool 😎
Man you got my head pumped on this one 💪🏽 I got all of them right except 1 lol absolutely love these puzzle tutorials man and all your other vids too but these are super fun and very helpful 👍🏼✌🏽 hope you doing well also man🙏🏼
9:19 why the best move is not Ne5 and after Qc7 there is Ra7 creating a pin and looking not only a b7 bishop but also a e7 bishop that is undefended too??
Nelson I am good in puzzle and I have a good chess knowledge but when it comes to real game I didn't play well I miss many threats and there are many topics like hanging pieces, go forward and attack your opponent, many tactics and many more positional concepts, etc so how can we think of all of it in our every turn. Please tell.🙏🙏🙏🙏
My concern in the position at 10:13 was actually that black would capture Bxg4 first and after the recapture they have Nf6+ forking the king and rook resulting in just a trade of rooks after all. And if you try to capture the knight on e4 first then white is simply capturing the pawn on h5 for free. What am i missing? Also at 12:56 it's important to note that the capture on e4 only works because white doesn't have the time to simply trade the bishop off with Bxe7. If they do that, you can play Nd2 forking the bishop and the queen giving you an extra tempo and guaranteeing you to get one extra piece for the knight before recaptureing on e7.
1:47 And after Qxa5, White's knight is no longer hanging (otherwise, Black could play Qxa4, and it's just a trade of pieces). 6:28 When people ask me how far ahead I can see, I answer, "One move too few." I narrowed it down to two options but then chose the wrong one. (Also: I'm not so sure this is an "intermediate" puzzle, more of an advanced one. Removing the guard would be "intermediate" level, IMO.) 8:56 I saw 2 of the 3 key moves but didn't put them together correctly. 14:09 ... Nf6 doesn't work, either. (I spent too much time looking at that.)
(@12:23) White can simply play 1 Rhd1 here, gaining a powerful rook-rook-queen battery on the open d-file, and where is the bishop on d6 going to go? Well, there’s really only one choice (1 … Bf8 blocks the rook on g8 from helping out), so 1 … Be7 it is. 2 Qd7+ forcing a queen trade. This looks a little uncomfortable for black.
Love your videos. Always the MOST clear and helpful than all other chess videos I watch. Question: for the last puzzle in this video, what about Bg4 (doesn’t it achieve the same thing, but also forces the white Queen to move and also make it less likely for Black to get checkmated)? Or did I miss something obvious (wouldn’t be the first time 😅)
Bxe6, attacking the queen. It also blocks the attack on White's (remaining) bishop. Once White recaptures, Black can retreat the rook, and (as Nelson says) the game goes on.
@@deinemutter7397 You'll have to ask him. I once read that moderately good players simply don't see illegal moves (bishops hopping like knights, etc), and that grandmasters don't see bad moves. Maybe that's why he's only a NM? I suspect he's not focused 100% on the games when he's playing, and he'll occasionally see some bad ones.
I'm talking about a nagging covid cough (I didn't want my comment censored so I didn't mention covi#) and yes, it works because it targets the same receptors in the brain that the virus does.

Nelson will get us all to 2000 elo, he truly is a brilliant chess teacher

lmao was about to comment the exact same thing.
What a fabulous video! Short and to the point with many learnings. Thanks 👍
Thats the best kind of content for all ratings. Thanks a lot!

oh, i see, we gave black time to trade d6 knight
It's always great to see any chess education video like this. Keep these simple tips coming because they are useful
5:43 The sequence also leaves the white rook on c8 hanging and under attack
Love this! You just made so much click in my brain for how to spot tactics in real games.
12:19 We have an attack on the rook but it's their turn so they can move or defend it.
You're a great teacher Nelson. Thanks a lot for these classes
Excellent video. Hanging pieces tactic work is very helpful and as evidenced by your video are much more involved than once thought
Ending the month with a lesson of hanging piece chess tactics!
I saw the first move for every puzzle, but I didn't know why I thought it was the best move 😂
Exactly the same here. I hate sucking at visualisation 😭

This video is like a hanging piece, I’m glad I found it!
nice one!
3:21 white take night on g8 and that is a checkmate we have to watch out
after Qg8 you can play king e7, is not mate

Wouldn't you capture with the rook?

At 10:35 the rook on h1 was hanging after white trades off their pieces

Great video, very helpful, thank you
Nice video Nelson! 👍👍
In the advanced puzzle, what's the problem with Ne5?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The best chess teacher I have ever seen
Can you continue the chess puzzle series plz?
Pretty good!!❤❤

Can someone tell me why on to E5 is not the move on the first master level puzzle?
Congratulations on 400k subs
8:04 black’s queen could have captured the knight on d6
And getting captured by the pawn?
Congrats on spotting legal moves! Is it a good one though?
@@DarthVader-wk9sdnah, i mean if ur trapped there, then u could have taken a piece of more value at least
Hi Nelson! Hope you’ve been doing well! Great video as always and stay on the grind to 500k!
Tfw you mess up the beginner and intermediate puzzles but solve one of the master puzzles.
In the last example what if white traded black bishops instead of taking knight with rook
Ok, i quit chess. I didnt see the hanging queen lol thats why i cant get out of 700 lol
Super fun!
Dude i didnt get the beginner puzzles but saw the intermediate tactics instantly
same lol
Can someone tell me what is wrong with Nf6 in the last part of the video please?
Bxe6, attacking the queen. It also blocks the attack on White's (remaining) bishop. Once White recaptures, Black can retreat the rook, and (as Nelson says) the game goes on.
Bro made me the best chess player in class
12:38 1. …. Nxe4 2. Bxe7! And the position should be equal (unlesbar I am missing something?)
2...Nd2 followed by 3...Nxb3
Right
For any beginner a very good tactic is to play Qe8 or Qe1 on the very first move
Go gain some elo good luck
In hanging pieces:
Look for your piece not also them
looking for pieces that might be potentially hanging
3 extra move
How to create hanging piece
Will bobby ever return you havent uploaded on the chess adventures channel for over a month
He said a few videos ago that there's one in production. These things take time, energy, and money to do.
What if the white takes the bishop in e7, instead of eating the knight in e4, on the last puzzle?
Got it
I think Nd2 for white in that case
rooks vs bisops pls stockfish
I'M EAGERLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT BOBBY FISHERMAN SERIES...
Do the potato opening plz
We want Kristin!
I solved all of them.
I am a genius.
❤
👍
today I learned I'm not even intermediate
I wouldn't call that puzzle (where Nxc3 is the wrong move) intermediate level. You have to look ahead a few moves after that.
Nice but if I don't like hanging.

How can you be a national master and think about the wrong moves

yeah sure but why do the wrong moves came to his mind first when he is so strong? @@christopherheckman7957

Someone told me that if you have that nagging cough to chew on some nicotine gum for a few days/week and it'll go away.
What will go away
Few days/weeks?? Why not just get some cough med ,should be gone by then😂
i hope you are not serious

Wow, helpful video, good practice to look out for the hanging pieces!
