This may seem silly to a lot of people, but I really appreciate how you make an effort to pronounce the names of fragrances as a native speaker would. The constant butchering of French names in particular gets on my nerves, sometimes, but I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm just going to have to deal with it. That said, you're a breath of fresh air in that regard. You've also reminded me to keep my eyes open for Italica, so thank you!
I love that you don’t do intros, it actually makes the videos feel more personal.. and I’m still gushing over this haircut! I love violet notes so I think im gonna start with liquid illusion out this lineup, just put a sample in my ebay cart! I recently realized going through my collection that violet, pear & almond are notes in some of my old favs that I never paid attention to, now im on the hunt. I esp love almond in the cooler months when I want sweet & not vanilla!
Thank you for providing a more expanded selection than 'Hypnotic Poison'..etc, repeat. I LOVE almond, and this has been the first video in over a year I have seen almond fragrances recommended that I have not heard about.
Almond is my favorite note. I have a majority of the fragrances mentioned in this video. Some that are not listed that I enjoy are Borea and Eclix from Tiziana Terenzi, Etro Heliotrope, Maison Lancome Iris Dragee, Almond Harmony from the house of oud, Rose Arabia Almond ,1725 by Histoires de parfums, Molinard Secret Sucré, Sweet Oriental Dream by Montale, Amouage Sunshine, Xerjoff Starlight , Prada Amande, Guerlain Champs Elysees and Lalique Soleil.
I absolutely love rose arabia but it had absolutely no projection or lasting affect at all. I would love to find a perfume with the same beautiful scent as that but with power and projection
Heading deeper into Autumn in my country I’m rifling through the back catalogues :). My fav almond other than Kiss Me Intense and HP is L’artisan’s Noir Exquis. The chestnut and the strong heliotrope base really pop on my skin. Love that warm fluffy purple almond scent :) like a freshly washed cashmere sweater for your nose. Luscious.
They have discontinued this one, but if you can get your hands on L'Artisan's Jour de Fete it's a lovely almond and vanilla scent. Love your channel and your thoughtful analysis of fragrance.
Maybe you make a point to not include discontinued fragrances in your videos (which would make sense because of barriers to accessibility ), but I love the almond note in Guerlain Mon Precieux Nectar. I was lucky to get 30ml in a split recently and I’ll cherish it. I also really like the almond in Gucci Mémoire d’une. The bitter almond with the chamomile? *chefs kiss* I really like your channel. I fell down the perfume rabbit hole about half a year ago and am positively obsessed. I still have so much to smell and to learn, but I think we have similar taste in fragrance and I’ve added a lot of your recommendations to my “for test” list. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your passion.
Yay, I'm glad you're open to almond, Yve. I feel like you may enjoy Pure eVe - it's definitely not too much. You're very sweet for saying that, thank you! 🌹Xo Sam
I've been so into almond lately. This was a lovely indulgence! My latest almond scent to my collection was the one by reminiscence in the green bottle.
Almond is one of my favorite notes. Ambre Platine by Lorga is a really good scent with almond too. Loukhoum was one of my first niche fragrances years ago. Love your list!
Thank you soooo much for mentioning Florentina! I blind bought it second hand as the notes screamed my name and it was an absolute steal - what can I say? It smells absolutely divine and, most importantly, exactly how I envisioned. Might become my signature scent 🤍
Love this topic! I have been enjoying the almond in Serge Lutens' Fourreau noir. With lots of lavender and tonka, the almond has an almost smoky marzipan aspect to it.
The best almond note I’ve smelt has to be from guerlains lhomme ideal cologne. Blended with bright grapefruit and anchored with a cosy musk, absolutely Perfect for summer!. I love your videos and have been binge watching them over the past few days. Greetings from London!.
@@typical_snowflake I did receive it. It reminds me quite a bit of BDK Rouge Smoking, and my husband said similar to Armani code. It has that root beer feel to it. Actually was wearing it yesterday and one of my children came downstairs and immediately asked why it smelled like root beer in the house. I like that smell so it is really nice to me. But I will say I was expecting more of an almond extract type of scent. I am getting more into the acqua di Parma Mediterranean blu scents so I found this one enjoyable. I have a full bottle and am on the fence as to if I would buy another if I used it all up.
Beautiful list Sam ! I love Bois Doré and Pure Eve is actually my sister's signature scent. I definitely need to check out Loukhoum! I would also recommend Heliotrope by Etro 😊

Looking gorgeous Sam! Love the short hair! I’ve been hit and miss with almond but I have grown to enjoy this note in fragrance. Great suggestions as always!
I love Tardes and Loukoum. I've been thinking about almond a lot lately and ordered SL Louve tonight. I haven't smelled it in years so I hope I still like it!
Have you tried L’ Instant Magic by Guerlain? It’s a very pretty, girly, sweet, soft almond one and, in a similar vein, Valentino Donna Acqua. Also Alaia Blanche has a fairly obvious almond note even though it is not listed in some of the note pyramids that show up on line for this perfume, it certainly is there when I smell it.
Dolce & Gabbana Garden also has almond notes. I notice it most in the dry down. Don’t let the floral name throw you off…it’s more almond than anything else. It’s such a fave I have 3 backups stored in my fridge😅
Thank you for this video! 🤗I'd love to introduce this note in my future perfumes and after seeing the suggestions I might order one or two of them to try. I'm not a gourmand fan, so would probably stick to the first series. See you soon! ❤
Live for your videos Sam! Thanks for such great content. Loved this as I'm a fan of almond in perfumes and would love to see more of these videos focusing on a specific note in future.
Hi!! I love almond fragrances….I am going to try to hide my card so I’m not tempted 😂 we’ll see by the end of the video…. ☺️ I too would like to look more into sandalwood fragrances. I have really been liking that note
I love almond in fragrances but I haven't had a great deal of luck with finding a good one. They tend to smell very synthetic. I do like Mandorlo di Sicilia...it's beautiful in summer. Initio's High Frequency smells like bug spray to me and I had a travel spray of Confetto by Profumum Roma. After a while it, too, started smelling very synthetic. I'm especially sensitive to some synthetic molecules, I think! Great video. I'll have to try some of your suggestions. 🙂
Nice selection ! I love almond and heliotrope in a fragrance. I definitely want to try Mandorlo di sicilia. I really enjoy Iris shot by Olfactive studio. I think I need at least a travel size of this one, such a gorgeous iris and almond fragrance 🥰
You did mention my favourite 😜 Rolling in Love, absolutely beautiful. As you were going through yours I realised I just don't have many at all. Some of them sound quite wonderful tho 😊
Love almond accords (as a huge fan of marzipan) but it can definitely come off synthetic. Italica and Mandorlo are my favourite probably but Van Cleef and Arpel Bois Dore is very nice (its more than just almond), I’ve not tried their Bois d’Amande yet. I’ll really have try Pure Eve, thanks!
Hi Sam, you didn't mention Louve or Rahat Loukoum by Lutens, I find them to be staples if you love almonds. I love your suggestions, I find kiss me intense to be very "solar", there is a beachy vibe to it, maybe because of the ylang ylang ?
My dad's mother was from Copenhagen and also have Danish on another side... sure do miss all the amazing bread she used to make. On almond fragrances...I love Italica and also love Kilian Black Phantom.
Great recommendations as ever, I do like how almond can be appealing like a food without being overly gourmand, one that I really enjoy is 1725 by HdP with almond lending an interesting extra touch to a modern fougere👌🏻😊
Sam, hola. Thank you for video. I have Bois Doré and I adore it!! I am wearing it now :) post shower and off to work. I am interested in Xerjoff Italica, absolutely!!!
I know L'Artisan Parfumeur's Bois Farine is a fennel seed and iris fragrance but I'll be darned if it doesn't have that almond vibe! All in all, my favorite note is absinthe. A shame there aren't more fragrances that use it. LdP's Fou d'Absinthe and Nasomatto's take are both stellar! In the end, not an almond fan (unless as snacks) but as always I enjoyed the once again informative posting.
You're right, Bois Farine does hint at almond. Oh I adore absinthe in perfume, I have found nothing better than Fou d'Absinthe. Maison Crivelli's Absinthe Boréale was alright, but perhaps my preference was already set with Fou. 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance My son and I have coined it, "Fou Dabby." "I'm running low on the Fou Dabby, Dad. Can't seem to find it anywhere." "No worries, my boy. One Fou Dabby coming up." Loved loved loved this video, but was left with one question, which is the best one note almond fragrance that works for layering? Thanks in advance and again amazing video
Thank you! I think Pure Eve is pretty straightforward almond, but also a bit soft musky... For pure almond, L'Erbolario Mandorla was perhaps the closest I've smelled 🌹Xo Sam
Love this list, thank you! My love for almond scents started with Hypnotic Poison and Castelbajac in the 00’s… the Castelbajac was amazing in the cutest weird red bottle and smelled of orange blossom, almond, vanilla and musk. Sadly the bottle and juice have since changed. I have decants of Tardes and Bois Dore but unfortunately the dry downs don’t work on my skin. I rarely wear anything too sweet nowadays, but I get my fix from What we do in Paris is secret by A lab on fire. A little gem from D. Ropion that is so beautiful and airy, not cloying on me… it’s like honeyed almond powder sprinkled on a doll’s head (but not in a bad synthetic way 😂) Must be a scent memory from playing with Barbies and Strawberry Shortcake dolls growing up
Oh this is wonderful - thank you for sharing! What We Do In Paris sounds very interesting - I do love the one fragrance I own by A Lab On Fire, so would love to try more. 🌹Xo Sam
What We Do ... is indeed a gorgeous scent but it is IDENTICAL to Joop Le Bain which costs $20! That is one of my favorite scents incidentally. I am confused that D Ropion created something so identical to something so much older and less expensive.
I love almond fragrances it’s my favorite note in a perfume. Etro Heliotrope is very beautiful! Trussardi’s Aperitivo Milanese Porto Nuova is kinda hard to find but it’s a beautiful amaretto fragrance!
Not almondy as such, but I find that Frederic Malle L'eau D'Hiver has that vibe. Must be the fairly heavy dose of Heliotrope I think. Love, love this fragrance so much.
For sure one of my top favorite fragrance notes ever. I find it to have many different personalities depending on how it’s blended. Putting several of these on my list to try. Also, you look gorgeous as always. Have you tried Centuries Almond from Casswell-Massey? It’s quite nice!
There’s also Amouage Sunshine which I love, and Cartier Baiser du Dragon which I don’t have a ton of experience with but I think it’s a more bitter almond.
I love almond and the almond aspects heliotrope can give boadacious from boadecia has a stunning use of heliotrope that gives that almond touch , Notting Hill from them also is a great use of almond. Battito d'ali by profumum roma is one of the best I've also tried 🙌 Great to hear your thoughts on these and to be put on to many I've not tried so thank you 😊
I do really love and appreciate you videos, thank you ❤️ I am honestly here to avoid all these parfums because I personally do not like almond, some of them which smells straight up almond for me: BDK Velvet Tonka, Initio High Frequency, Navitus Soir Exclusif, The House of OUD Almond Harmony, Montale Sweet Oriental Dream, Profumum Roma Dolce Aqua, Van Cleef Bois dAmande
I love your videos, Sam! You always introduce me to new fragrances. Thank you for that! I also have to comment on how gorgeous you look with this new haircut! ❤

Datura Blanche Keiko Mecheri has a great almond note.
Thank You For The Education As Usual...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I love almond and the almond aspects heliotrope can give boadacious from boadecia has a stunning use of heliotrope that gives that almond touch , Notting Hill from them also is a great use of almond.
Battito d'ali by profumum roma is one of the best I've also tried 🙌
Great to hear your thoughts on these and to be put on to many I've not tried so thank you 😊
Thanks so much for sharing, Robert! I know these must be good coming from you. 🌹Xo Sam
I do really love and appreciate you videos, thank you ❤️
I am honestly here to avoid all these parfums because I personally do not like almond, some of them which smells straight up almond for me: BDK Velvet Tonka, Initio High Frequency, Navitus Soir Exclusif, The House of OUD Almond Harmony, Montale Sweet Oriental Dream, Profumum Roma Dolce Aqua, Van Cleef Bois dAmande
Looking beautiful as ever Sam . Could you do a favorite fall line up ?
Thank you so much. I shall try 🌹Xo Sam
Watching this, I am suddenly reminded of Pistachio-fragrances. Do you have any recommendations?
U are my absolute fav!!
My all time favorite almond fragrance is Louve by Serge Lutens.
In France we have a dessert called "frangipane " with buttered almond filling in it. It would explain the name "frangipani"
for me .. Killian rolling in love
Italica is in my wish list. 😍😍
*Lots of clones out there that are pretty spot on. Alexandria, Genre, Fragrenza, Dapper, etc.*
I love to wear Florentina on the days I want to smell simply lovely.
Hi, I would add Louve by Serge Lutens : very strong almond perfume nuclear perfomance :)
I love your videos, Sam! You always introduce me to new fragrances. Thank you for that! I also have to comment on how gorgeous you look with this new haircut! ❤
Hi!! How are performances of Loukhoum? Is it an intense and strong perfume or a Weak one? How are lasting power and intensity?
Have you tried LAmandiere ? Heeley parfums.
Hi!!
Could someone please recommend any marzipan smelling perfumes similar to velvet tonka?
Thank you
datura noir for me
Damnnnnnnnnnnn, I know know 2 fragrances in this whole line up!
I need to put more work into this hobby.
*Isn't Pegasus an almond fragrance? I have the Armaf version but I could be wrong.*
You talk about Bois doré but not Bois d'Amande from Van Cleef? :) Did you try it?
I haven't been able to try it yet, sadly. 🌹Xo Sam
Hi there, I wanted to get back to you about Bois d'Amande. It's a lot woodier, not so much an almond fragrance. Bois Doré is far more almondy. 🌹Xo Sam
Profumum Roma- Antico Caruso
I love the haircut
Thank you so much 🌹Xo Sam
Parfums de Marley-Pegasus
I've just discoved your channel! I have an addition for the list: Heeley's "L'amandière", a take on green almonds
Kiss me intense is one of my favorite Almond fragrances ❤️
I like Mandorlo di Sicilia a lot for a sweeter perfume, but find Italica way too sweet and boring.
Hello Sam.:)
Are these ladies fragrances?
