Love this album. I feel like this is one of the first albums yall have reacted to that your dad enjoys the hard fast pace songs just as much as the slower songs. Seeing him pick up and appreciate more aspects of rap as he listens to more albums is really fun to watch as well.
Melt My Eyez might be more mature in some aspects but I feel TA13OO is still his best project. Just the perfect mix of everything that makes Denzel great from production to flow and lyrics.
@@bigdtheog572 MME is obviously his best project to date. Everything about it is just superior. Some might be biased in saying Taboo is his best but i wouldnt disagree. Imo i still give it to MME
Denzel don't miss so don't be scared doing all of the albums. They're all bangers and filled with great messaging and production probably one of my top 3 rappers!!!
Cool to see Mike vibing with Denzel Curry. Maybe it's because he's a little too aggressive and rock influenced to appeal for most mainstream hip hop fans but I think he's the most overlooked artist of the last 5 years , seems like he doesn't have near the status he deserves in the game.
He of course deserves more but he isnt overlooked at all. He is one of the most appreciated rappers within the culture and basically can turn whole festivals upside down and sell out big venues all over the world.
While he isn't quite super star level I wouldn't say he is overlooked. As far as I know he is very highly respected in the hip hop community both from die hard hip hop fans and people who are more into mainstream, approachable stuff.
Denzel Curry will go down in time as one of the best to ever do it and he’s nowhere close to done. His discography has cemented him as my favorite rapper currently.
this was never cleared up in the video, but the first track was about himself, denzel opened up a little bit after the album released about being sexually abused as a kid. also the album is three acts, not two, light, grey, dark, the pink cover is light, the grey one with blood is grey, and the clown makeup is dark. denzel is truly amazing, and it’s insane to see how much he’s done in ten years while still being so young, i feel like he still hasn’t peaked and will give us even better projects. he was the first person i went to see live and he’s an amazing performer, definitely a great introduction to concerts, the energy was insane
one of my favorite albums! loved dad's reaction and excitement all throughout. and the moment you connected clout cobain’s lyrics' to nirvana was just gold, that's why i love sharing music and love seeing others do it too
Respect for choosing Denzel Curry to show your dad and even more respect for your dad for actually liking it! Looking forward to other projects from Denzel or maybe even some Joey Bada$$ and J.I.D albums!
I love that your dad enjoyed this album! Denzel definitely wears his rock/metal influences on his sleeve. Vengeance is one of my favorite tracks of the decade. 4 minutes of straight stank face.
All Amerikkkan Bada$$ - Joey Badass would be a dope album for your pop to react to . But I had the same exact reaction to this album back when it came out. I even went to go see him perform it live and even was able to get a picture with him . Helped me through some dark times.
I've overlooked Denzel ever since I first saw him on XXL back in 2016. This was a pretty good introduction to his music for me and I will proudly be a fan if I enjoy Melt My Eyez as well.
Imagine a JPEGMAFIA Reaction. Can't for when he gets to that level of comfortability to listen to that kind of rap. Super glad that pops likes this kind of music the most, as a 19 yr old, 2010s is my favorite decade of rap thus far and I only see rap getting better as it's such rapid evolving genre. Personally I wouldnt say this is the best hiphop record yall have listened to (this alnum is fantastic tho) but I'm very grateful that he's enjoying the newer and modern sounds of rap. It makes me very excited for wtv comes next. An album that I hope to see in the future is Atrocity Exhibition. It delves further into the dark craziness in rap that was first introduced to pops in TA13OO. Also a good gateway I'd think into more experimental stuff. Although not a better rapper than Denzel Curry, Danny browns delivery but mostly vocals become more frantic and anxious sounding than what's happening here. Then the really dark and wild production perfectly encompasses the subject matter. That whole album feels like an addiction withdrawal which makes sense since its about the struggles of addiction
I really like the choices you make. normally id suggest an album for ppl to react to but just keep showing albums that you like. your taste seems to match up with mine well, always nice hearing new stuff too!
Watched the first 3 songs then went to listen to the album in headphones out of selfishness. Seeing Zel in September for the second time in concert. First time he gave me his hat🔥
He's actually addressed that by saying that he used her as a metaphor to cope with pain he was going through On Taboo he used this girl to say that he was molested at the age of five On Melt Session #1, he says: 'I've been this way since the day I turned six, I been touched before, way before I touched my-' It's pretty cool to see how he matured up until this point, now openly admitting that he was indeed talking about himself on the opening track of Taboo.
just finished the vid, loved your guys' insights!! Your dad especially gave some cool info on the Clout Cobain track references that I never knew. And here I thought I already knew everything about this project lol. Subbed, hopefully you guys do other Melt My Eyez or UNLOCKED soon! Would love to see how he reacts after he said that he's fine with Denzel staying on this lane, because every project of his is so unique and different.
A lil background for taboo, Denzel revealed in a breakfast club interview that he had been m9lested as a child so that may change the perception of the song.
Would love for you to follow-up to your dad that the intro song TABOO is actually about himself. He said in an interview "Taboo was me the whole time", and when asked if he was talking to himself on that song, he said "yes". This is because he was mlested at a young age and has used sx as a way to cope with trauma. Just wanted to clear up the confusion out there because I wouldn't want Denzel to be painted as someone who would do take advantage of a woman in that situation, you feel me?
Denny Cascade is an alternate name Denzel Curry uses, kinda how Eminem has Slim Shady or Marshall Mathers. In Taboo, the "girl" Denzel is talking about is himself. Denzel has stated he was molested at the age of 5 in interviews. Hope this helps! Great work on the video!
drake - Nothing was the same, IYRTITL, or take care travis Scott - rodeo, ASTROWORLD playboi carti - die lit, WLR metro boomin - not all heroes wear capes
with the taboo lyric "loving me is forbidden, loving you back is a crime", I took it as a race thing, not an age thing, as in she's a white woman, and he's of course a black man, so a mixed race thing, which for a long time was considered a crime, even if not by law, Emmett Till was tortured and murdered for even the idea of him flirting with a white woman, despite it not even being true, of course nowadays it's more accepted, but it's a song, so it doesn't always mean it's in a modern sense
“Hit it man, this is good stuff”. Lmao loving the energy
Love this album. I feel like this is one of the first albums yall have reacted to that your dad enjoys the hard fast pace songs just as much as the slower songs. Seeing him pick up and appreciate more aspects of rap as he listens to more albums is really fun to watch as well.
Agreed! Thanks for watching 🤟🏻
Based on the title, I think it would be great to do Melt My Eyez too. I think it’s his best work.
I wanna agree but damn if taboo doesn’t speak to just as much shit for me as melt my eyes
Now that I’m watching the reaction: there’s actually 3 acts! Light, Gray, Dark!
Melt My Eyez might be more mature in some aspects but I feel TA13OO is still his best project. Just the perfect mix of everything that makes Denzel great from production to flow and lyrics.
Melt My Eyez has technical improvements over Taboo but... Taboo is one of those rare albums with no skips that I think will be hard to top
@@bigdtheog572 MME is obviously his best project to date. Everything about it is just superior. Some might be biased in saying Taboo is his best but i wouldnt disagree. Imo i still give it to MME
34:26 The timming as your father says Daamn! Just as Denzel does xD
That feeling when he landed the damn, was other worldly 😂
It's eery when someone's favourite tracks is also your favourite tracks, shoutout to your Pops
Denzel don't miss so don't be scared doing all of the albums. They're all bangers and filled with great messaging and production probably one of my top 3 rappers!!!
Facts. He’s been incredible since Nostalgia 64. Hell even before that during his Raider Klan days he was pretty dope.
Cool to see Mike vibing with Denzel Curry. Maybe it's because he's a little too aggressive and rock influenced to appeal for most mainstream hip hop fans but I think he's the most overlooked artist of the last 5 years , seems like he doesn't have near the status he deserves in the game.

Man this channel deserves so much more attention. You two are awesome! Just binged five of your guys reactions
Appreciate that, glad you enjoy 🤟🏻
one of my favorite albums! loved dad's reaction and excitement all throughout. and the moment you connected clout cobain’s lyrics' to nirvana was just gold, that's why i love sharing music and love seeing others do it too
Veteran is a must now after this
Respect for choosing Denzel Curry to show your dad and even more respect for your dad for actually liking it! Looking forward to other projects from Denzel or maybe even some Joey Bada$$ and J.I.D albums!
Loved how much your dad was vibing. TA13OO is legendary
“Come on hit it man” yessir!! Your pops knows good music, good stuff guys.
should def show him the bulls on parade cover. i think he'd like it
It is cool to see your dad really enjoy the refrences Denzel makes, like at 12:00 he seemed super happy about that beatles/black sabbath bar
I love that your dad enjoyed this album! Denzel definitely wears his rock/metal influences on his sleeve. Vengeance is one of my favorite tracks of the decade. 4 minutes of straight stank face.
that talk at the end of clout cobain was beatiful i got goosebumps bruh
Living for the melt my eyes vid & y’all needa Patreon for the full uncut songs i’d definitely pay for that

Me too man. Went solo to his taboo tour in new york. One of the best nights ever
This album into MMESYF is incredibly rewarding/satisfying
I've overlooked Denzel ever since I first saw him on XXL back in 2016. This was a pretty good introduction to his music for me and I will proudly be a fan if I enjoy Melt My Eyez as well.
listen to it its amazing
Insanely good lyrical analysis on Clout Cobain! I'm totally impressed by you two! Holy crap!
Thanks a lot!
A wild Spinda has appeared!
@@KB24FOREVER8 oh hey lol it's funny seeing bob people over here
amazing reaction, i was so happy to hear him say that this project is one of the best, Zel is insanely underrated

Denzel Curry was sexually abused when he was a kid. He’s supposed to be the girl that he sings about in the first song
such a W video. i was surprised he enjoyed it this much
Your dad might like his Unlocked project too! One of his best
classic album from the most consistent artists ever top 3 rapper for sure
You should do a special episode and show your dad the rage against the machine cover denzel did
You gotta do "UNLOCKED" next, that album is great to go from Taboo to other albums!!!
I really like the choices you make. normally id suggest an album for ppl to react to but just keep showing albums that you like. your taste seems to match up with mine well, always nice hearing new stuff too!
Appreciate that a lot 🧡
I never knew about those bars in Clout Cobain, that was eye opening
Watched the first 3 songs then went to listen to the album in headphones out of selfishness. Seeing Zel in September for the second time in concert. First time he gave me his hat🔥
Can't wait for Melt My Eyez! One of my personal favourites
This is my top 3 albums of all time. Love to see it
I feel that in Taboo, Denzel is addressing his younger self, not a girl. There’s hints at this throughout the verse in my opinion
Great reaction!
He's actually addressed that by saying that he used her as a metaphor to cope with pain he was going through
On Taboo he used this girl to say that he was molested at the age of five
On Melt Session #1, he says: 'I've been this way since the day I turned six, I been touched before, way before I touched my-'
It's pretty cool to see how he matured up until this point, now openly admitting that he was indeed talking about himself on the opening track of Taboo.
fun review, one of my favorite albums
Bro I am 100% with you, Denzel and Jpegmafia are 100% the best new age rappers in the game and my favorite
Great reaction to a Amazing album from a amazing artist. It would be super cool to see a reaction to his other albums. Especially Melt My Eyez.

You've got great taste man, looking forward to the JID reactions. Awesome reaction!
Melt my Eyez see your future is mandatory, is best album
This album is timeless
A lil background for taboo, Denzel revealed in a breakfast club interview that he had been m9lested as a child so that may change the perception of the song.
Also in sirens and throughout the album he mentions a person named tree which is the name of his brother that died to police brutality
awesome video!
Sirens one of the best hip hop songs of the 2010s‼️
Without question
Bro this got me so excited
Incredible album
I have a feeling y'all would enjoy Royce Da 5'9 - Book of Ryan. Aggressive enough and Royce's delivery and content is just damn.
denny cascade is like an alter ego used in denzel’s previous work
Gotta show dad Denzel's Tiny Desk Concert. Might even be a good secondary video line for the channel.
Would love for you to follow-up to your dad that the intro song TABOO is actually about himself. He said in an interview "Taboo was me the whole time", and when asked if he was talking to himself on that song, he said "yes".
