  • Marcus Aurelius, one of the most powerful people in the world at the time, wrote a journal now called meditation.
Written as a private reflection, it's not heavily quotes and contains some to the best ancient Stoic wisdom we have access to today.
With all of the stress and responsibility, how did he still seemingly live a good, virtuous life? How did he lead men to battle? How did he avoid the corruption that tarnished so many others before him?
Stoicism helped shape his mind, and this is exactly what we're going to cover today in some of his greatest quotes.

      Not possible .
Metamorphosis happens without external influences . Because there is nothing external . All is mind and sovereign unto itself . There is but one thing . Consciousness !
      I AM THAT !

The true beauty of wisdom is not found in grandiloquent speech or metaphorical prowess. It is the silent understanding, the quiet resilience, the firm acceptance of things as they are and the determination to act rightly regardless.
Stand firm my brothers and sisters and may you all find peace and tranquility. Immortalized not through words or statues but through the virtues that will always be embodied by those after us.

I take it as a lesson that: 1) even the seemingly most wise has a flaw within him that his own wisdom cannot penetrate. And that reason or good sense cannot undo family bonds.
