Sarah, you are one of my favorite journaling content creators, hands down. You always buy to your specific style and needs, not to keep up with the Jones’. I dig it. You’re in a class of your own and I’m here for it!
You made my morning when I saw your video Sarah! I am so glad you have such a wonderful friend in Robin. Love you system it is so cool. Love and light to you and your family.
Oh Sarah, that cover is amazing! I love how you lined it with that beautiful fabric!! I so wish you would sell your beautiful designs......Thank you for sharing it with us 😍
Thank you! I struggled whether to cut it down or not but my need for a trifold won out, haha. That’s also why I didn’t stitch it all the way around-I’d probably end up messing up on the most basic task!
That is a beautiful tri-fold! I've never really had an interest in buying/using a trifold until this very minute. I use a few huge binders with varying types of plastic inserts. They hold a lot of mixed media type of stuff like stencils are in one, and I use another one for clear stamps. They are ridiculously overfilled and gator mouth more than the "Chunky" huge Stalogy notebooks you can only see on Instagram lol. I did find that using card stock adds stability in the pockets. It helps to keep the plastic inserts from pulling down and flopping around. It also helps divide the pocket so you can use the front and back sides. I use varying sizes of binder clips on the top so stuff won't slide out the top. Although I do have some I use small pieces of Velcro. Either the circles I cut in half or small strips from the rolls of velcro. Gosh, I've been watching your videos for many years now. Seeing you go from collecting CS leather covers, Maker's South covers, fountain pens, vintage fountain pens, etc. Now you've grown into knowing your style, and creating these breathtaking leather covers.... I can't think of any words other than inspiring! Thanks for sharing your journey. P.s I do have to say that you really should make and sale some of your leather creations! I wish I could make my own covers but medical issues that affect my dexterity have finally caught up with me. No regrets though because I've done way more than I should have ever been able to do. True determination can give you the hope and strength to face more than you ever thought possible, but you already know that. -Heather
Thank you so much, Heather!! I really appreciate the tips for the binder, I’ll have to try them soon. I was actually reminiscing about my past leather cover collections and I think I’ll do a video soon on the covers I’ve kept. I’ve realized if I make and sell covers I’d have to quit RUclips-it takes me a full hour to stitch all the way around a single cover😂. There’s just no time to craft plus manage the business end of things. Maybe in another season of life!
@@sarahmartinezjournals I completely understand that. Maybe one day, but I had to try lol. I'd love to see a video of the covers you still have. That's a great video idea. Enjoy your weekend!
Sarah!!! Does the edges of the fabric fray? Maybe you burnish the edges and it lays down the loose edges? It looks BEAUTIFUL!!!! And, now, I’m off to buy another fabric pouch! 😂
I’ve been using Barge all-purpose cement and I’ve had no fraying issues. Which is baffling to me! The folder I made is constantly rubbing against travelers notebook strings and it hasn’t frayed. I make sure that the cement is all the way to the edges then I use my roller to really smash the pieces together several times. I let the piece cure overnight before putting it to heavy use. I don’t do anything to the edges either.
Another wonderful video Sarah. My Hibino is the blue green color which I adore. However, I also may make a cover for it just for funnies. It won't be leather, most likely sew and embroidered. I said it now I must do it. Thank you

Thank you, Petra! One day I might be able to carve out the time needed to run a shop but people might not care about covers then, haha
Beautiful work Sarah! The fabric looks so nice with that piece of leather.

Sarah, do you know where I can buy that same holy card of the Blessed Mother? I love it
I got it from my priest at church but here’s the icon’s website, they may offer the cards from time to time: www.ohiia.org/

An embroidered cover sounds amazing! Yes, now you must make it🙌
I'm interested in how you did that corset stitch? Did you watch a video? Your cover is gorgeous!
Yes! I watched this one: ruclips.net/video/PNy6wGvmww8/видео.html
