I was in the navy back in the day and when this watch came out I saw the ad in a magazine while at sea and decided to check it out. I was wearing a Rolex Submariner at the time but I was able to find one in Hawaii and bought it then, and even though I now own two Seamasters, a Planet Ocean, a Panerai, and several other lesser brands, this is still my overall favourite. I love the styling and I agree with the video that it is a nice "in the middle" range of Omegas. I really recommend this watch, it really is a hidden gem.
The 3rd gen dynamic took styling cues from the omega raf 53 and the WWW watches. The water resistance was stated from omega as 50 metres but have been pressure tested to 100metres. Considering it was omegas budget watch the 50m rating was lowered so it didn’t compete with it’s more expensive models.
Neil Chapman makes sense, thanks for the extra info. The screwdown crown made me feel very secure about the stated 50m anyway. And I’ve never really gone past 3 meters so I’m usually fine.
Neil Chapman the only other model I’ve seen is the waffle type dial and I wasn’t too partial to that either. But will keep an eye out! The sizing was honestly perfect for my personal taste
Great review. Well done. What a very cool and unique piece. Would love to add one of these to my collection. Not really a "yellow" kind of guy but I am attracted to this color combo for some reason. Cant find one for less than $1,500. Are they worth that??
Robert Montgomery thank you! I’ve seen a couple on eBay around 1200. I think the execution, size, and just how unique this watch is makes 1500 a decent price. Just make sure you get it with the bracelet.
I don’t own the watch anymore so I don’t have any idea on bracelet codes. Best chance is looking at other online sales and hoping the pictures are good or trying to get the info from omega.
Very good review, thank you. There's a couple of decent examples here in the U.K on the used market for around the £800 mark. I can't afford luxury watch prices so this seems like a great chance to pick up something good. I like the late 90's vibe of this piece (it's when I started drooling over watches), and like you rightly say there are not many around so an interesting addition to any collection. Thank again; I shall now subscribe.
@@2bias1 very few seem to be around in the U.K at the moment. Ebay is always overseas sellers (often Japan). I've also set up a thing with Watchfinder to pre notify me if they get one in stock but so far nothing
Interestingly the italicized numerals on the dial and date wheel (a mockery of Breguet style, BTW) are not consistently styled. They are different fonts. Super irritating how they would not make them identical. Look at the #1 & 9 for example at 6:45. A failed attempt at “attention to detail”. Look to Hermes watches to see how it’s done properly.
I love it! bought it in 1995 and still wearing it everyday.
That’s awesome. Definitely enjoyed mine the short time I had it. Wear yours in good health. Thanks for watching!

Lovely story. I’m glad you enjoy the watch so much. It is really a great little watch!
Still one of the most underrated watches out there.
I have and love this watch. It's an odd mix of highly stylized, yet low key design. As long as I have watches, this one is not for sale.
I have the chronograph model with the original dark brown suede leather strap. My favorite watch.
Just picked up this same watch, I love it! Great video!
skyjordan7 awesome! Glad your enjoying it. And thank you 🙂
I happened to come across this video. Made me buy one. Thanks enjoying it
Malik Diamond awesome! Ya it’s a really cool watch, glad you’re enjoying it.

The Knight’s Watch there was a few jdm models that had a more traditional omega dials if you didn’t like the yellow accents

Very cool watch! I love the font style. Just subscribed!
Me too man. Appreciate it :)
Great vídeo men. I’m going to pull the trigger for one! Best regards
Hope you enjoy it!

I didn't know that Ed Norton reviewed watches. Beautiful watch.
That was the last gen...it's a great watch!
Am searching for an original bracelet to go with my '97 Dynamic 3, Can you share with me the bracelet codes? Is it 1571/871 ? Thanks in advance.

1570/870 on mine

Sorry, is it a screw down crown?
paul pentony yes screwdown crown which is very smooth
The Knight’s Watch have one for sale at 1000 USD hope it’s fair ask
Hari Gurunathan fair price if it’s running well and in fairly good condition.

Sell it to me, how much do you want it?
Hard - هارد sorry I sold the watch months ago.
Great review, however the fact you wear it nearly on your hand makes me cringe.
Rada J I get ya! I just prefer wearing it on the bone, to each their own!
Bryan Davis thanks for the suggestion! Will definitely try to incorporate.
