Been there now three times myself and would go back for a surf trip anytime. Taghazout bay area with its tens of beaches, the magic Imsouane bay, and even up north Rabat and Casa (the latter more in spring and summer). Beautiful spots, unforgettable sunsets, humble and warm people all over the coastline. Only to be grateful for. Context: solo female traveller from EU.
As a turkish guy i would say Morocco is cool!! Very cool! Safe and modern. I guess after Türkiye, is my favorit non-turkish moslem country! Go Morocco, i will visit you again. Thanks for everything, i had a only good memories now from my first Surf Holiday in Agadir and Taghazour. Selam aleykum
Between Agadir and Tamri . One of the best Place for Surf lovers, especially in Winter Time. In Agadir you have +25 I love Agadir, i love morocco. Amazing Culture, nicke and Kind peopel, Taste Food especially Tajine. And Great Spots to Surf, taghazout, madraba, imsouan…. Love fron Germany ❤️🇩🇪🇩🇪❤️ to morocco🇲🇦❤️🇲🇦
Lived and worked in Morocco (Rabat) for two years and started surfing there. Surfing in front of the old town of Rabat before work is awesome. It is an amazing, captivating country with a very complex society. Unfortunately, I can no longer block out the many things that go wrong in the country. I can recommend a wonderful film about a cultural center in Casablanca. It is about how and why young people do hiphop and how hard it is for many to find a voice. The film is called "haut et fort" (loud and clear).
I'm trying to convince an aussie friend to travel with me to Morocco. I truly love this country, People are friendly, food is delicious and it's great for surf. I'll send him some of your vids. Maybe it will help to have him over here next year. Hope you truly enjoyed your stay in this fabulous country. For your next trip, one advice: try the inside part! Desert, great villages, wonderfull kasbahs, great landscapes. You have to experience this other part of Morocco. Surfing is the greatest thing for me, but it also helped me to see so many other things around the world...
At 6 minutes in, when that dude drops in on him - and he wipes his nose, nonchalantly, and then does a lip BASH, as the other guy clears out. Nice, Casual surfing. Quiet power.
Just found your channel! I am a beginner but started my surf and yoga journey one month ago in Marocco. Love your channel and video...Morocco is so awesome!
Morocco looks great. You’re edit and the good company/new friends you’ve made remind me of my many travels that took place over a decade, in over 70 nations, and all the random people, their smiles, and shared experiences. I made friends everywhere. It’s what made me feel alive in my 20s and 30s. The best part is, going back next year to see all your new friends. I was that guy that returned time and time again to try to recapture the magic with people I really enjoyed. It was a blast. And the best part is, when some of these global friends remain in contact and even come visit you. Enjoy it all man. Aloha.
Literally just flew back to the UK after a week of surfing in taghazout! Absolutely agree with the sentiment of this video it's an awesome place full of open friendly people 🇲🇦
man this hypes me up soo much, gonna stay in Morocco the whole january...been following your journey there ever since the first video!!! I´m psyched for this trip mate, thank you for the good footage! cheers
Happy to know that u enjoyed surfing in my hometown. Man! Ur content is so helpful and inspiring, please keep up to great job 🙏🏼 Peace from Agadir/france
Would like to know the surf breaks. I was there in 2011. Essaouira,Morocco and a few others even outside of Casa Blanca were epic. Love the Hendrix influence in a particular coastal town. Couldn't get enough of it.
Looks like such a wholesome place, no surfers bitching about priority just everyone having fun on those immaculate righthanders. This is what I want, awesome video
Ah damn😂 well I guess there just is no escaping them and you‘ve got to deal with these people. Though I have to say on the bulgarian shores in the black sea I have never seen any angry person, surfing culture isn‘t big here. We‘ve got one shaper, one surfshop and plenty of swell, and that‘s all we need😎
This takes me back to dawn patrol in Dubai. Swells up and we’re out before the dawn you’d hear the Adhan that early while dropping in on some sizable beach break. 🙌🏼🤙🏼
Excellent work sir... the surfing and footage of it is certainly spot on... what I really enjoyed was the introspective commentary on what the trip and surfing in general mean to you... this resonated with me as I'm 52 and over the last year I've been fortunate enough to take time away from work so that I can dedicate all of my time to getting my fitness back, surfing and reconnecting with my tribe.
Awesome place, awesome people, awesome video. I find myself really enjoying your content. It is so inspirational. I feel like I want to strive for more happiness in my life after viewing your videos. Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us.
😊question for a new video idea… Do you think you could do a follow-cam point of view for training ? It could help to visualize myself more on the wave and stand up and practice as I’m watching the video.. might be a dumb idk 🤷🏼♀️ either way love your content !
Amazing content !! really look forward to go to this beautiful place !! The spot in the first section of the video is Banana point (when you surf the midlentgh) ? Thanks and keep it up Kale :)
The waves in the first section of the video look sooooo sweet and gentle lol like you can go slowly on them, and they take you where you want, you can avoid the white foam etc ... love it. And yes, I made friends on a two weeks trip in the Canary Islands so I can totally feel what you are trying to share in this video. We may go to Morocco / Maroc soon as well, watching this is boosting me up even more
mate , such an awesome vid, you have roused my travel bug, tell me , is it a place for intermediate surfers, that like cruisy waves and tell me is it expensive to get there as im not really wanting to do Europe but would love to spend a month here
Hey Kale, neat video! It's interesting to see your thruster surfing style on twinnies, looking forward to see how that might change over time as you jump on twins more. See you in Morocco someday ;) 2 tiny pieces of personal opinion: -Your content is class! You don't need clickbait thumbnails that don't reflect the core of your content imho -Advertising a career that works for you to young people who are still trying to find their way in the world can be more hurtful than anything to them as everyone is different. If they follow someone else blindly, they might walk the wrong personal direction. It could be more helpful to teach how to find their own way by mentioning yours. Best, love and happy new year!
Oh and: It's been a while since I have watched a video by you. Man, you have always surfed well but by now you completely rip! I hope you take a moment every now and then to appreciate how far you have come!
How is the water quality now? Did you get sick during your stay? I went on a 10-day strike mission to Taghazout a couple of years ago and scored firing points with some of the best waves I've ever seen. Sadly, I also scored a stomach bug that had me bedridden for three days which completely tainted the overall experience of the trip. This was in late 2018, and I've heard a lot of improvements have been made since then.
With the surf camps, there are people constantly in and out of them, so if a bug is around it just carries on and on. I think one year they closed a camp for 2 weeks to do a deep clean and stop it all, since it had been an issue for more or less the whole season. That or the water, which can be dirty directly out front of the town, when I was there I saw a dead goat just stuck in the sewage outlet, not good! That was a while ago now and the town has come a long way I’ve heard, so hopefully sanitation has also followed suit…
Water quality still the same . Because. Grey water pipes are going straight to the sea . And now with the big grey water station. On top of banana point. You can only imagine. Your eyes start burning .
Great video Kale - I am just back from that coast myself - super waves although I managed to snap my mid-length (Seaside & Beyond) at Anza. I won't buy another of those - it snapped like a twig in the whitewater 😬 (albeit big surf whitewater). Is that a Chilli Mid Strength you are riding? If so, what length? Thanks!

Loud and clear would be a relief. My translator disc can't help me with most groups.
I lived in Morocco for 30 years all I can say it is a land of freedom
Can you share details about what goes wrong?
Happy healthy humans living their best lives. LOVE it.

Water quality is still poor and chances of getting sick are pretty high. This holds especially true in Tagazhout
