PROVENANCE for Brass Band

Written and Composed for Brass Band, from the word 'Provenance' (place of origin) this composition I had worked on back in the 90's from a project that never got completed so finally finishing what I had started. The thought and inspiration came from reading on the beginning of the Universe and how the world was created, from my Brass Band playing worked on the idea that this was the place of origin for any composition of music. Provenance itself maintains a constant theme starting with a mystic close harmony opening painting the scene for the unknown then into the beautiful slower section depicting the creation of life and evolution of the universe building to the ending climax.
