Nice vid buddy! I missed you by a week at the Wolfkiel shelters. It's a fantastic place to gather with "not so backpacking" and i friends and hiking friends. Shelters and firewood are A++++. Love it. I'm all over the Ohio and near Ohio trails. One of theses days we'll meet. 51 year old, very hip, cool woman (you get to say that after 50), and her 75 lb dog Finnegan wishing you a great new year!!! headed to my backyard, mohican, tomorrow for a winter overnight!!!

I'm an Old Man as well. I hate the skimpy stuff sacks supplied with gear nowadays especially the ones for tents. I always buy a bigger one to use. I stuff the tent in the voluminous sack and then smush the sack down to size. This is especially important when winter camping because I can do the entire operation while wearing mittens so that my fingers don't get cold. The extra ounce of weight is worth it to me.

Man that’s so nice to have a place to go away and camp by the fireplace! We’re so spoiled here in America and I feel thankful and I didn’t even go. I bet this could be a low impact yearly meet up winter camping trip in the future. I would come for sure. I love sitting around singing if someone can play. Really a relaxing video, it’s really good to see you back out.

I've never hiked further East than Colorado! Very pretty. But definitely looks different than the west! And hiking hut/shelter things? I've never seen one of those out here
That looked fun. I hiked part of the Pinhote a couple of weeks ago which was new terrain for me and looks a tad similar to this trail. I loved the little streams everywhere but the sound of them made me have to pee a lot.
I have just stumbled onto your channel it looks awesome. You hike some awesome places have you ever tried Seneca rocks in West Virginia. My cousins and me hiked it a couple years ago it’s definitely Worth it.

As direct as you can would be 6-7 miles I think. You can make a longer loop if you wanted.
