Backing vocals! Yes. Ad libs? Depends. I believe it uses frequency and volume. So if it’s at a lower volume from the less vocal it should include it in the “other”.
Hi Pete. Not sure if I missed it but I can't see how to turn my original track back on to listen to it. It is grayed out and nothing seems to bring it back to life. Does stem splitter somehow permanently mute it?
@@PeteJohnsMusic No worries. I just didn't know if I was missing something obvious. No mention of it in the manual. Easy enough to just bring it back on another track. Thanks for all your great videos!
Apple Music that I’ve purchased and downloaded on to my iPad does not show up in my files as Wav or MP3 so I can’t import them into Logic. Does anyone know a workaround? If someone sends me a song from their apple laptop or MAC, it comes in the proper format so I’m able to stem split from that. But anything that I have on my iPad (even purchased and downloaded from Apple Music) I can’t stem split. I don’t have a computer-only iPad.
Hey there. So, unfortunately Apple Music (and other platforms) don’t allow you to export as audio files. There’s a workaround which involves screen recording and converting video to audio which I actually covered in yesterday’s video. ruclips.net/video/l44q2tDxDG4/видео.htmlsi=xTouEY3A9oOec4aM
I did it! Thank you so much for the step-by-step instructions. It’s complex but once you understand it it makes sense. Thank you so much again! You saved me from having to buy a new laptop just so I could do this.

I did this on A Day in the Life from The Beatles today. It was mind-blowing!
Oh wow?! I need to try that.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you!
You’re very welcome my friend. I hope you get value from the other videos here on the channel and consider subscribing. 👍
This was just the video I needed! I was curious about how well it actually works. I’m honestly surprised by how usable the stems are!
Totally. I’m pleasantly surprised.
Very Cool!👍🏽

You are the Number Oneeee 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks my friend.
Hi Pet, just want to ask why I cannot find and access the stem splitter in my logic pro ipad pro (5) 2nd gen model?
You need an iPad with M1 or better. Also make sure you’ve updated to the latest iOS and Logic versions.
Hi Pete, on the splitter, do they indicate the chords for the piano or the base? Thanks for a very informative tutorials.
They’re not automatically detected and added I’m afraid. logicipad.com/.
Wow, beautiful Please, is it on cubasis 3 ? For iPad Pro m
Not on Cubasis sorry. Logic Pro for iPad 2. Http://logicipad.com/

Which iPad do you have? I would like to know if it works fluently on an M1 iPad Pro or should I update the processor.
I’m using the M2 and it works great. I’ve heard it works well on M1 too but might just take a few more seconds.
Does it work while live sampling/looping?
Not sure exactly what you’re meaning sorry? But probably not?
Is there a difference in the performance of the stem splitter between Logic Pro for iPad and Logic Pro for Mac?
I don’t believe so? Haven’t tried it personally but believe it’s the same exact AI algorithm using the Apple Silicon on both.
@@PeteJohnsMusic thx for your reply :) If you do any comparison in the future, please leave additional comments. thank U.
Is it only appear on M gens? Because this features didn’t appear on my Ipad 11 1st gen.
Yes it’s only iPads with the M1 chip or better.
Do they split the ad libs from the main vocals?
Backing vocals! Yes. Ad libs? Depends. I believe it uses frequency and volume. So if it’s at a lower volume from the less vocal it should include it in the “other”.

Yeah I noticed that too and haven’t really worked out how to bring it back in yet?

what is the link to get stem splitter? thanks
It’s included on the new Logic Pro for iPad 2. logicipad.com/.
The melodies are always the hardest to take clean out. Anyone compared vs lalalai or moises?
My friend Jade Starr has done a bunch in this. Maybe check out her channel.

I don’t have Stem Splitter on my iPad, Is there a Reason why i don’t?
As mentioned in the video, you’ll need an iPad with the M1 processor at least (2022 model) and the latest iPadOS and Logic Pro versions.
I updated the Latest iPadOS and Logic Pro but i still don’t have Stem Splitter, Is there a Reason, My iPad is a 10th Gen.
@@Adebada2007as he said, you need an iPad with M1 at least, remember that iPad 10th comes with the A14 chip.
How to know if my iPad is M1?
