This is the full uncut episode of 4 Square uploaded earlier. We finally found out tonight that it comes from the third season in 1990 from the guys at UKGameshows.
I miss when television was as calm as this :) I have great memories of watching this during the day before I had reached school age, and annoying my mum by singing the theme music - thanks so much for uploading it!
I had quite a serious accident back in 1989 and was off school for 3 months. I remember watching this in the afternoons. Would love to see some reruns. Very nostalgic.
HAHA! I remember this from my childhood! I used to be fascinated by the fact that at the end of every episode, the studio lights would be a different colour. Here the camera pans out to reveal a purple hue, but it was sometimes blue, yellow, green, orange, white, etc
I've forgotten how good this show was. You're right, Challenge needs to show some of these older quizzes instead of The Chase or Bruce's Price is Right all the time.
I watched this game show as a teenager and there was another incarnation of the "maze" round. This was from a previous series, where four squares on the bottom right hand side. shows the viewer and contestant the timer (not in segments as this clip shows). The score and two extra panels yes and no. I never seen the final of 4 Square, wher the travel maze is in play.
15:11 Question - Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world (at the time of recording). Answer is more likely False (not True as on here)... apparently, Mandarin is said to be the most spoken language, but confined mainly to the Far East. English is said to be the most widely spoken language.

I loved the maze music! Im sure it was on here somewhere...but know cannot seem to find it? Ah well...thanks for uploading!
This reminds me of being off school sick. I'd bring my pillow and quilt downstairs so I could watch things on the big telly with the better picture.

America needs to have its own version of this show, even if it ends up on PBS.
This was a very good show back in the day.
Need challenge tv to show these again uk

I think I have part of a final on tape somewhere. One of the randomest things in the... least true sense of the word. ;)
That's Disney voiceover John Sachs presenting it
