I'm 42 now, and I have loved her music ever since. Just wished she came to Atlanta more often. Troubadours of the Rhine was the last concert tour i had the pleasure of seeing in person.
I have been listening to Loreena for nearly 30 years. My daughter Ali called it "Dad's bathtub music!" I was so thrilled to have met her in person when she played the Count Basie Theater in New Jersey. It's a cherished memory, as Loreena's music serenaded my same daughter Ali through her chemotherapy as a young adult and helped her to find peace in the moment before her passing. I will remain ever grateful for the peace that she has brought to me, my daughter, and the rest of my family.
There are a number of her songs which don't feel as special as the ones I like more but reading about how much some of them mean to others such as you makes me listen to this with more appreciation, not only for the song and stories that comes with it but the time I still have here with my loved ones. I had introduced a friend to her music and we saw her in concert in New York City many years ago. The audience was captivated by her spell and so silent, and so spellbound were we after the concert. I would LOVE to experience her again.
