I have old Philips (cable) clippers from like 10 years ago. Could I use the old attachments on this model or are they not universal within the brand?

How long does it take to charge the battery? Does the LED flash change color?
Hi Pavel, the Led light will change color that is correct.
From orange blinking (low) to light green blinking (charging) and full battery (steady green)
Charging duration may take longer for the first use.
May take 30minutes to an hour. Others claim more than an 1hr
I had the one blade that broke after a few use and i didn't like how itchy it left my skin. Do you think this one is better for beard ?
All electric shavers I've tried (Braun and Philips, various models) leave my skin itchy and cut like there's no tomorrow, I have very soft skin with thick hair so the skin is often pulled with the hair if the blades don't do a clean cut quick enough. I figured if I have to move very slowly then I might as well use a manual blade. Spare me the noise and the heat and the hair dust. I use Gillette Fusion Proglide Power, with the power turned off, and its replacement blade, the one with a "microcomb".

I would like to ask, does it need oil or we clean it with the black brush?
Brush and water is enough but the Philips store does recommend using a drop of oil now and then, I read it on their RUclips channel. I had an old model and I never used any oil until it broke. But if you want it to stay cooler (the moving blade generates heat) then use some lubricant. I'd suggest silicone scar gel (the wound dressing type) since it's non-toxic.
I have another model but similar construction. Problem is thatafter a while that thing which turns under the head and blade detaches itself goes up ... and stop cutting.
I had the same issue with a different model of the same brand. At the end I glued it with a drop of glue.

The noise test should have been performed while loaded, ie. when cutting thick hair.

I liked the real world accoustics... not technical, but real world. I was also more interested in the product itself, not the sound of hair being cut.
@@chance1017 I bought it soon after watching your video, and I've been very happy with it. It can get louder when clogged with hair (which doesn't happen normally since it's very well designed), but the noise is still so low that I trimmed my hair at 3 am several times and nobody woke up. Thank you very much for your review.
