Been a student since the 80's..Been to several classes taught by Joels "1st generation teachers". We set our watchs for on the hour and meditated.It was of comfort knowing other IW students around the world were with me. I still do it.
Jesus never said "resist not evil, nor did any apostle, instead Paul said, submit yourself to God and resist the devil and he will flee from you. Jesus did say to be perfect and love your enemy, it is in this context that he said if someone asks for you coat, give him your shirt also, this to emphasize the acts of a heart full of the love of God. It has nothing to do with "not resisting evil. We are obligated to not only resist evil but be involved with spiritual WARFARE against evil. This is Kabal teachings of to draw you into some of the false philosophies and fake spiritual paths. This does have some real spiritual content, but not the path that the Word of God prescribes. T-here is no pathway to God that does not proclaim the cross of Jesus Christ, both in his substitutional suffering for our sins, and our very self-ego-self-independent being, united in a spiritual death on the cross, and then believing that we are also raised up into a new life sourced in Jesus Christ, which is provided INTO us by the Holy Spirit.

Hi @@dsouzavinoo These Bible verses are to fulfill the command Jesus gave , To love even your enemies ( it is not you who should make them an enemy, but it is they that have taken up the role of an enemy) this being most highly pointed toward, if you are persecuted for the person, teaching and name of Jesus, but also applies when speaking of you yourself not retaliating but showing love even under a personnel attack. (interesting these videos do not really reference Jesus even though it likes to claim the teaching). This has nothing do with resisting evil in the context of, lets say, a person who breaks into your house and is about to kill your wife or child, or a mafia criminal who is terrorizing an entire community. You have a responsibility to protect the helpless, and also to stand up for justice.
