I must say the creator has an awesome talent to seamlessly blend the music and create a weird ambient so many classics
Imagine a first person shooter game like this. Trying to shoot your friends, while still trying to orient yourself in this estranged worlds.
I had an idea a while back for a Minecraft map that used command blocks to teleport you around. Seeing this, I know that changing orientation like that would be even better. Now I wish someone would hurry up and make it.
Prey isn't online but, the old prey would be up your street
Descent 2, Descent 3, look at pvp in thosr games. Now combine it with portals/non euclid geometry. Add VR
@Frax you mean epig
@Frax epic
Now I imagine an escape room game in a non-euclidean space... That would be amazing :o .
It could be a thing using VR...
More likely AR
I actually have an idea for something like that
Despite there not being anything even remotely scary, this video has left me with a very uneasy and uncomfortable feeling and I don't have a name for that feeling. But I don't like this feeling.
Xenophobia - fear of the unknown, perhaps?
Cos there's definitely an alienating feeling in eldritch geometry.
@@sovereignone1900 Xenophobia is usually associated to the prejudice against foreigners.
It's most likely a fear of the unknown rules of physics. Like when you're high af and asking yourself why the world went liquid and weightless, until you realise you're in the pool
Maybe it lies in the "uncanny valley"?
i feel the same way with the concept of infinity and the cosmic universe, is such a weird feeling
Loneliness
I like how the tagged game is minecraft lol
probably the music
@@minnarew the music isn't from minecraft

@@romo2674 yeah Sweden from c418 resembles a lot Satie
@@romo2674 that's not an insult. C418's minecraft project alpha is easily in my top 50 albums of all time.
The thing I learned about this is that flying is just falling sideways.
Gravity Rush anyone?
Dont you remember the kiwi that wanted to fly?
@@R3ll1k73 shiiit man you don't have to remind something so dark
Minecraft but I beat the dragon while falling sideways.
I think this one was done by Dream?
It's the craziest thing, you branch out from that room with that glass room overlooking that whole grassy scene, and finally you end up getting gravitationally launch through the the glass pane, It's even trippier if you look upwards on the way out from the room, trust me, you'll love it. ^^
while cool, a lot of these "non-euclidean" games are just euclidean spaces with portals. I would like to see a game that is built on a truly non-euclidean space, where there are no portals, just consistent non-euclidean geometry. The only example I have seen so far is "Non euclidean virtual reality" by henry segerman here: ruclips.net/video/ztsi0CLxmjw/видео.html
Edit: a lot of people mis-reading my comment. Yes portals between rooms is non-euclidian, but the rooms themselves are still euclidian. The space is "locally euclidean". Whereas the video I linked gives an example of consistent non-euclidean geometry, where every subspace within that space is still non-euclidean.
Edit2: a few months after I wrote this comment, a new game called hyperbolica came out and it's a real hyperbolic game, I recommend checking it out!
ruclips.net/video/tl40xidKF-4/видео.html
Have you seen these? They're very cool
well boy do I have a channel for you: ruclips.net/channel/UCrv269YwJzuZL3dH5PCgxUw
Does Antichamber count?
I agree, during all the gameplay the only thing shown is that "the windows give view on a big desert yet there's a room next!!!". I've seen so much portal and 3d screen "non euclidian spaces" I didn't even get it was supposed to be non euclidian. And changing gravity is quite well euclidian.
Might not be what you are looking for, but hyperrogue is pretty cool ruclips.net/video/lX5eCfRSCKY/видео.html
8:29 I've played too much Animal Crossing to not recognize this song immediately.

Yeah
Didn't fall to the ground was just sent into orbit lol.
As soon as they started stomping windows, I was just waiting for one to break and them to acquire freedom/flight.
9:53 My last brain cell: aight imma head out
So weird to think a game that came out two and a half years ago captured the elegiac-aura/liminal-space aesthetic that started taking off in 2020 so perfectly that they even threw in the obligatory vaguely unsettling '90s video game music.
The song makes this feel like you're trapped inside a dream as a kid or something... ;-;
that sounds ducking cool
@@nuttynoah5342 so you cant say fucking? you coward
I would like to see someone make a vaporwave game now that would be some trippy shit be at a mall or some type of extra dimension or something.
You can't exactly see in 4Ds. You can see representations of 4d objects in 3d like you can draw a 3d object on a 2d piece of paper. I suggest looking into 4d objects, there are loads of videos about it
Armada Gaming lsd mall with palm trees growing everywhere

Can you blame them?
Render-targets, render-targets everywhere..
rEnDeR tArGeTs!!!
Man those things save my life in unity
That relatable moment when you want to go outside but had to traverse the entire freking universe and overcome time and space
A true non-Euclidean game would simply mean parallel lines aren't constantly at the same distance everywhere
Yeah, Hyperbolica might be a better example of a consistent non-Euclidean space
Parallel lines diverge in hyperbolic space, and parallel lines meet in spherical geometry (longitude lines?).
PLEASE never make a VR version.
Why?
@@memesfromdeepspace1075 I think he was saying that, because it would probably make people go insane, I think...

Even with this happy music, H.P. Lovecraft would be absolutely terrified by this.
At the end, when you escape the place, you should turn round and see that the building was tiny.
I played the game. There is no building, it's just a window floating in empty space.

Where is the Non-Euclidean part?
Fucking exactly
People confuse non euclidean with warped space because of Lovecraft, who was scared of anything related to math or technology. (One of his horror stories was pretty much about air conditioning.)
Non euclidean geometry is actually any geometry that describes curved surfaces.
Thanks for your reply.
@@peppermintgal4302 I'm about to be pedantic. The geometry of warped space would also be non-euclidean because euclidean geometry probably wouldn't be vary useful

amazing soundtrack! a decent number of these songs i've found on youtube dives, whoever did the soundtrack has good taste :]
I like these kinds of games but this one feels too empty. They could benefit from getting another artist on the team to fill the environments up a little more.
ah ye I feel like that's why they're alpha or beta versions. most of these dont get made into full games though so that's... a little sad, to say the least

non euclidean geometry isn't impossible. we are living in a non euclidean plain of existence. ever notice how light bends around stars and other objects if you look right. its caused by gravity curving in because of gravity or something else.
Non-Euclidean geometry is any type of geometry that isn't Euclidean geometry. Spherical geometry, would be classified as non-Euclidean. This is just more about the impossible spaces.
@@syntex5904 yup there's no non-Euclidean geometry in this video ay LMAO
No it is not caused by gravity you fuck. We dont know what its caused by it could be caused by space dust or red shift. It could even be something within our own solarsystem so stfu
Syntex Non-Euclidean geometry is more than only elliptic and hyperbolic space.
Schmitty Von Baun What? He’s talking about gravitational lensing, you dumbass.
Wow. this game really needs strafe jumping. the amount of times you tried to jump to another door, while backing up first to gain 'momentum'....then miss it by like 1 cm or something... I wanted you to have air control so bad to see what the rooms would of been like
Says non-euclidian, presents a lot of parallel lines
This is the one video that introduced me into ABG...
Same. I was looking for Superliminal videos and found this video. First ABG video that I've watched, and discovered this channel.
You keep falling down into the darkest pit of the abyss until you break free....
Oh it's too late!!! Now your GRAVITY works 180° or 0°-esque with the ground and you are free FALLOVING (falling+moving) forever!!

Well, now I know where to come when I want to experience the joys of acute motion sickness.
Wait, what? Is that the intended ending? I was thinking you've just broke the game! Also, kinda obsessed with smashing windows, eh?
Oh wow, being able to move on your current fixated axis was really weird there at the end in my opinion. I do like that touch alot though.
What is the name of the music starting to play in the first scene?

so, the ending is, the person escapes and falls... horizontally?
More like it. The twisted world in the deep room, the room with many portals and stairs.
