- This video will show you how decide if a shape has rotational symmetry or not, and also to work out the order of rotational symmetry.
Rotational symmetry is the amount of times you can rotate a shape onto itself in 1 full turn. If the order is 1 then the shape does not have rotational symmetry. If the order is 2 or above then the shape does have rotational symmetry.
The best way to do this is to get a piece of tracing paper, trace the shape and rotate it whilst counting the amount of times the shape fits onto itself in a full turn.
