Lakers were reportedly tryna outbid Memphis who offered kennard, konchar and heavily protected first. I think this move is fine but this cant be their only move. Def need to find another pg whether if thats like a brogdon, simons, lonzo, coby white Nets i like it getting more seconds for finneysmith then schroeder interesting enough. They get a expiring pg who they can resign who had his best moments on his previous tenure with nets. Theres rumors of a dlo buyout but i dont see why that would happen. I see people saying cam johnson will be next to get moved but unless its like a later in the decade pair of firsts (2029-2031) or some intriguing young players I dont see why.
This is so weird for me, I think DFS is gonna be a perfect fit but a team with so little assets giving up so much doesn't make sense. Looks like the Nets could get more in this trade but they invested too much in tanking this season) They brougt back their 1st pick for two picjs the received from the Suns. That's why they must get rid asap of every player which is actually able to win any game😂

Good trade for Lakers, it's not a game changer tho. Since I'm a Mavericks fan, I know DFS, and I like it for the Lakers objectively, but DFS is legit just a simple 3nD wing. He can't dribble, not a good rebounder, lost half a step defensively because obviously age. DFS will definitely help the Lakers defensively, but it's not a game changer, and Lakers fans shouldn't expect much from DFS because he can't do much besides defending and shooting
@_AVC_ I think this definitely makes sense for the Lakers. DFS is a good defender that hardly makes mistakes defensively. AD is gonna love him, finally having some help defensively. I agree, this shouldn't be all trade for the Lakers because they shouldn't expect DFS to be an elite role player cause he's not gonna get you self-made buckets while also playing good defense. Play him in his role, and he'll be great at it, anymore and you're asking too much from DFS
The Lakers don't need a PG, Lebron has the ball 90% of the time even coming up the floor, maybe one for the second unit even though they have Vincent already...

not a lakers fan by any means, but to me the follow up trade that makes too much sense would be getting brogdon and valancuinas
