This video documentary goes over the rise of esports, and the big money behind it. From investing directly into Esport teams, game publishers and stocks, to real estate projects (Esport hotel chains, bars, and more).
Drake, Michael Jordan, and Shaq are just a few of the people who have invested into esports. You also have sporting leagues such as Formula 1 and the Premier League investing into esport players and building their own esport leagues.
Esport tournaments can bring in more viewers than the NBA finals. This is why big broadcasting deals are being made, and more people and companies (such as the New York Yankees) are investing into Esports.

You listed 3 major investment types: 1. Teams 2. Companies3. Real estateI think you have missed out on branding. It is a different avenue of revenue for teams but teams are partnering with brands for physical space, sponsored content and merchandising.
You have millions of views on paid content, the money is often direct investment into physical CAPEX rounds.

I loved the video, however at around 8:00 you mixed up publishers and developers as one entity, which while in some cases could be correct, in this context does not quite work.
This is because the developers of the game most of the time have next to no power over anything due to orders (due to leverage of money) from the publishers.
