I grew up with a special Christmas tablecloth. When it got too stained, my mom wanted to throw it away. But I loved it toomuch that I took it. Soon it was too stained even for my casual self but couldn't throw it away. Eventually I woven it into placemats and gave them to my sisters and mother. They didn't look like the tablecloth but had bits of color throughout the white and everyone knew where it came from.
I was looking at the edges of the Roll, and thinking that I could make a "folded" inkle-style band and sew the strip to hide the cut edging. I seem to like mixing my crafts into one project.
Ties! How resourceful. I really liked the color variation in the bag. This opens up my imagination to my "Yarns without a project" stash. Chris you having another weaving superpower, "The Weaver Whisperer"
Hah! I recently made a wall hanging with video tapes. It has a lovely sparkle with the light shining on it. And who doesn’t have old video tapes without the player?
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!
That’s a fabulous suggestion and I who only own a rigid heddle can easily participate in that suggestion. Great tip.
Yes! It is universal - no matter what loom you have!
I really like the ends hanging off the selvedges. That would be interesting for a table runner or wall hanging!
It's adds a little something, right?

So special, Connie!! I love that story!
I mainly weave rag rugs, tabby pattern, and old sweatshirts and sweatpants...they are wonderful weft!!
Perfect!!
