With all the different aliens, the implications of a much bigger interstellar conflict, and the twisted cliffhanger all told me that the universe was meant to be much bigger than just Mira. I hope we get a sequel someday. I love the idea of an open world JRPG in a space opera setting.
God Xenoblade X has soo cool lore it's a shame that most of the cool stuff is presented in sidequests or got cut, bc they wanted to focus on exploration and online. I really hope we get a remake of X instead of a port. I think my favorite lore plottwist was learning about J-Bodies, bc I just beat Xenosaga a few month before playing X and thought Yelv kind of looked like a young Yuriev that played in a rockband haha
Clicks on Xenoblade X video, first thing is "Xenoblade Cross" and I'm thinking - This is going to be amazing. I'll be sending this to all the people I know who have played X but were not as deep into doing sidequests, reading into lore etc. Thanks for the work!
Which of the plot-points interested you the most? The black knight and Lao; the Ghosts and Elma’s origins; The lone hero; L’s devil original form; the J bodies; Survivors beyond the white whale?? Neo Tokyo; The Qlu system, Celica and NeilNail; The Ovah’ ; The GREAT ONE; Luxaar’s dna and the Ganlgion’s origins; The Samaarians; BLACK TAR; or Something about this planet?
Elma origin and the lone hero. For Elma you probably are aware of the previous concept where her memory is in a Cristal which makes her the "xeno" "blade".
Indeed, many, including myself, compared it to a core crystal concept before. But looking at the final product and the info we got about her possible Origins, it is also similar to the concept of Origon metal shards.
The J body was a real plot twist. There was no clue about that outside the amnesia. 😳 also Elma mentioned someone who loved Cherry blossoms 🌸 in the dlc of xenoblade 2. Who could it be ?
That iceberg just continues to get deeper and deeper. Slowly getting into a rabbithole that I feel like won't come out of for a very long time ^^" Fantastic video man. Really love how in-depth it goes!
Very nice video! Whether I agree with everything you say or not, lots of interesting stuff. I still think planet Mira is a "natural" version of Xenoblade 3's "Origin". Basically it's where the souls of the dead go to, hence why everyone can exist despite the Lifehold being out of energy. Anyway, lots of hints in XBX that it is NOT some standalone-spinoff. The future is exciting.
I don't think I've yet seen a summary of the open mysteries in XCX that is as comprehensive as this video. Thank you for making it! I never realized that the Rose Garden is the Samaarian Ship from the game's opening but it definitely looks like it. However, I want to add some things, you didn't mention: - In her introduction cutscene in XC2 Elma seems to hint at the Lone Hero being associated with Japan, further supporting the idea that the game's story was initiatlly meant to revolve around Neo Tokyo. - In the short story "Forging Blade" Nagi comes up with the BLADE acronym as something a friend of him an Vandham had said. So there was a scientist who worked at ECP and at some point said "Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipators". Whatever the context for that might be, I find it suspicious. It also seems at though that person died to an illness on Earth. My only guess is that this person could be a parent of Lin but that's a wild guess and they could be someone else entirely. - The Affinity mission "Spy Games" reveals that Chausson apparently had a son whom he sent on an unknown mission back on Earth just before the White Whale took off. I wonder what that mission could mean as it seemed to be important? - The artbook likens the ruins in Cauldros to Wroth. This is never acknowledged in the game but could hint at the fact that Mira is a patchwork from different worlds. - The otherwise unrelaesed concept art for Celica shown at PAX Prime 2015 provides additional details about the connection between Qlu and Earth or possibly the Samaarians. Again, thank you for this video, I think I will refer back to it whenever I need a refresher on the open mysteries of XCX.
I'll have to check that pax prime 2015 Celica art. Yeah old wroth as stated in the artbook, I think Ga Jiarg or another Wrothian in cauldros also said that it reminded them of old wroth. They lost the planet so they became refugees if I remember correcrly. So the lone hero likes old cars, Nagi saw him grow and he likes cherry blossom trees, yeah it makes sense for him being related to Japan. I wonder if he learned blossom dance from Nagi too. About Chausson's son mission, what could be THAT important to do? Maybe search for someone important? Although in reality none of them went to the white whale, just their dna data and memories. Still, there were other aks that did have real people on it, so maybe he sent him to one of those?
I also forgot about the data mined texture of the com-device used in the game (@P44GPRS found and transcribed it). It mentions, among other things, the name "Ferrel", possibly belonging to a person working on the spaceship construction maybe at ECP or Sakuraba Industries. Perhaps more interestingly, someone named "Ernst" seems to pilot a warship with the name "Orion" that, while constructed by Sakuraba Industries in Japan, is not a part of ECP and instead termed a "lost number". Just like the lore regarding Qlu described alongside Celica's concept art, the text could be a remnant of the original story ideas of XCX and no longer have a connection to the released story. But the text does mention Elma and the Ghosts and the name Ernst really does remind me of Klaus...
@mnemonic_aion YOU! THNKYOU! I had no knowledge of said com device lore. And thanks to that I also found the forging blade (xcx pre release short stories) and its awesome. It confirmed the theory I had of the lone hero launching Elma out of the Ares and so much more, humans having dark matter engines, prepared to fight the ghosts. Nagi's crucial role in the white whale and creation of NLA during the first days of the crash, the reason behind Mira's name, etc.... you revealed to me a goldmine of official lore!!
I replayed all Xeno games and i was thinking a lot about XCX recently , i understood that XCX faced the same problems that Xenogears and Xenosaga faced. It was dev time , money , workload , lack of abilities of the devs to realize what they wanted and the fact that only a fraction of what Takahashi wanted to do did actually fit on the Wii U disc. The Future Redeemed Radio broadcast sounded like Takahashi wants to revisit all these Imperfect Works that were lacking in so many ways to remake them , to make them whole / complete and tie them into this new canon.
I trust monolith on that one. Okay partially. I tried to find which elements are the most used in the xeno serie and the least xeno game was xenoblade X so I tried to predict what would happen based on all missing tropes but outside Mira and the black knight they should be able to do what they want. Real quick answer here : don't treat Gwen or new romance as a joke. They already created a wonderful love story with the same basis (Allen in xenosaga). Mocking Gwen just for fun is maybe funny on the moment but I pity him right after. Sory for the salt.
I don't see it happening. X was a huge financial failure for Monolith, so much so that they said they wouldn't even port it over to switch. I don't see why they'd make a sequal to a game that so few people played that didn't have any aspects of the much more popular numbered Xenoblade Chronicles games. Monolith will keep doing what is successful, not obscure games with silent protagonists.
@@LBCAndrew the reason why they didn't port X was because of recoding and changing all of the game pad fonction. Also Xenoblade X sells are still more than xenosaga 2 and 3. They are still pretty decent if we compare to the console (wii u only 13 million units for almost 700 000 sold copy of xenoblade x). Xenoblade X is still referenced with Elma in xenoblade 2, Grey with full metal jaguar and the project exodus from the radio. The story also finished on a cliffhanger and despite everything Takahashi at least always tried to bring a conclusion to xenosaga and xenogears.
@@panic555 according to them, they are native from Mira, like L or the ruins. Tatsu mentions frontier village. But the orpheon that had a vision from the telethia talked about it (the telethia) saying that long ago it lived in a world with an endless ocean (the ovah os teased to come from there too if I remember correct). In the artbook, it is stated that Mira is a planet made of different worlds, So the world of Bionios fused with this one so nopons feel they belong here? We dont know if Xenoblade X is canon to the main series. But Xenoade 1 IS canon to Xenoblade X (endless sea, bionis and mechonis statue, gem crafting machine, frontier village, hom homs, melia's staff, etc)
L culd potentially be sonething simular to the the thrinety prosessor. All of Mira culd potentially be something simular to Origin. It is hevely implied that Mira is an artifishial planet. Think something like a sheald world fore those who are familiar with Halo lore.
YESSSSSS DEFINITIVE EDITION IS HAPPENING!!!! BLACK KNIGHT HAS A VOICE!!!
This so amazing!!

Nah gost factory is for Elma gost walker is a regular art
