the floating town

I'm trying to visualize the story these songs are starting to create.
I don't have a lot of the details in place, but I feel like the spirit garden is where you would first wake up, and the floating town would be the first place you find after leaving the garden.
the garden itself would be in a different realm entirely. it serves as a sort of nexus connecting all these different worlds, but you can only enter the garden in your dreams. only certain people are able to enter the garden, but it's unclear what exactly makes it possible.
the floating town would reside in one of those other worlds. in this world, the surface grew hostile and uninhabitable. as if all of nature turned on humanity. to escape, the people created giant pillars and built villages atop them.
at first, things were fine. the people would go on to try and recreate their lives just as they were, establishing cities and governments. some even created ways of transport between them for trading and such.
but the world they left below them grew more ravenous each day. the people had learned nothing and once more would feel the ramifications of their ignorance. one by one, the pillars would fall, and the people and their governments with them.
this village is completely cut off from the others. it stands both as the last of the floating towns and as a reminder of how little they've learned.
(loosely based on a location from this game on Roblox called Verdant Moon. man i love that game)

hard for me to say, but try starting with something simple like 4 notes. Just play it over and over again until you start to hear the direction it needs to go in and slowly try adding longer notes to it. after a certain point, you should end up with some chords.
It also helps if you have a mental image of what you want the song to look like, so keep that in mind as well. Good luck with your music!
