It is with great sadness that I have to pass on the sad new that the star of this video - Ephemera has sadly died 😪😪 We will miss her very much as this video will ensure she lives on in our hearts ❤❤
You have my sincerest condolences. Her precious life may have been brief, but she touched many hearts. For her, you were her world and provided a wonderful life.
As someone who has always been terrified of spiders I did not expect to see your post randomly and actually think she was adorable AND feel sad about her passing away. I am know a subscriber and I will be following the journey of sweet Heidi's baby's and any other jumping spiders you post videos of 😊🕷️🕸️
Thank you so much, that's so sweat of you and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and watch my content - I have a poll on the community tab to vote for your fave if your interested! - Thanks again ❤❤
Thank you, I really enjoy trying to be creative with my enclosures so if I've given you ideas that's great - don't forget I see my huts so if you are interested let me know 😁😁
@@JumpingJupitersKingdom Appreciate the reply. We are in Panama City Beach Florida and these spiders are all over the place. It is funny to be sitting outside and looking at one looking at you...etc.
@@TheTodd24 yehh that must be kinda weird - they are not native to the UK so I guess that's why they are more intriguing to us! -you are very lucky to have them just out and about
I just bought two, Phidippus audax and P regius, with P. johnsoni on the way. Im hooked! Salticids are the "gateway bugs" to spiders for any arachniphobe 😊
So cute these little creatures❤ I'm still a bit unsure cuz Im normaly not a friend of spiders, but these are so adorable, I guess I'll buy one or two of them next month🤔😂
I'm just getting into the jumper spider craze and I got two spiders coming. Always been a reptile expert and a huge animal lover. Anyway how can I buy some of your products that you make for the spider cages?
ooooh exciting times ahead for you - I'm sure you'll be thrilled with your new 'friends' when they arrive - for more info on items I make/sell just email me at JumpingJupiter@mail.com of what you have in mind 😄😄
Thanks! Love to learn about these cuties, cant wait to have one, or two, or.... wel you understand 😂 do you ship to the netherlands when you make these cute houses?

I know this video is a year old but I’m getting my first jumping spider soon with all the equipment. I have seen you need to put the heat mat on the back and not the bottom like I thought. I’m guessing here but I need to leave a gap to the enclosure and heat mat and stick the sensor for the thermostat next to the 15cm x 15cm heat mat and enclosure. Any advice would be welcome :)
Hey, sorry for late reply but I've been a little unwell, to answer your question Best thing to do is attach the heat pad to the wall behind the enclosure and then put the thermostat stuck to the side. Hope that helps
@@JumpingJupitersKingdom thank you for getting back to me and I hope you are feeling better. I already did my research and have the heat mat on the back and I’ve had my regal jumping spider 3 days now and it’s so tiny at the moment I don’t even know the gender yet .

Not sure if you’re able to import jumping spiders from the US, but we have lots of native species that are non-tropical & don’t need additional heating. ❤️
Hi, thank you so much for the video. I'm currently in the process of building an enclosure and a question around the heat pad - you mentioned you placed it alongside the backside of the enclosure but I didn't see it in any of the "finished" pictures, do you take them off at certain parts of the day or are you meant to just leave it on 24/7?
Hi, thanks for the feedback - regarding the heat pad.. they are permanently left in place but attached to a thermostat plug (link for this in video description) so this controls the heat as/when required. if you live in a hot country then one shouldn't be required at all, or if you have hot summers then its only required during the colder months. Hope this helps and feel free to ask for more info
@@JumpingJupitersKingdom got it thank you for the quick response - this might be dumb q but do you just wrap the heat pad along the back outside w/ tape? :D
@@jil88 NO...I have mine stuck to the wall or until where they are placed..each enclosure is then placed close to the heat pad to get the heat required
hey his name is Finnegan. he is a rare recessive male Phiddipus Regius. Its very unusual for a male to have his colouring, and even more rare for one to make it to adulthood. He's amazing and soon to be a daddy too. we are hoping to see his genetic colouring in some of his babies.
I just got one myself maybe a month ago. She is adorable. Named her 'Chica'. i have no idea how old she is but one night, her chelicerae turned from PINK to GREEN. is that normal? Can the springtails not escape through the vents?
Yes, potentially they could but as they preferer a damp climate where there is plenty of food, staying where they are is the easier option for them!

🤣🤣YES, completely normal - they do like to tease us by changing their chelicerae colour from time to time - its a sign of them maturing!
down voted for the baby voices, but good video.
