Well, it was authentic way you felt about the model there is no doubt! I for one, think that's fine and sometimes a particular plane is just not a good fit. I was never interested in it simply because of the price and personally I think wing sweep on a model is a nice scale feature but not very practical and also a potential trouble spot. That said I always want a newly released model to be a success even if not for me. Don't really thnk your review will be the make or break for this models future but it does probably save some who might be concerned about spending this much for a model and just end up being stressed out about that whenever they fly it. I appreciate all the time and energy you put into this hobby.
Thanks for honestly posting.. I cancelled my preorder for this jet after seeing all these issues folks were having.. just going to go with the 90mm F-22 instead. Thanks again for you honesty!
We have to know the good and the bad planes. Most of us have very limited resources. Thanks for letting us know what is out there. We are not the best pilots, but we like to fly.
thank you. I really thought this video should stay up. This is an expensive hobby and any way we can avoid a unfortunate purchase is helpful. Thanks for putting it back up
Well I dont like to complain about something when it is mostly my opinion and not enough proven facts. i should have given more specific data on why I had the bad experience instead of just my impression. That is why I took it down, however so many wanted it posted again I had to repost it . This is not just my solo channel , I must listen to my viewers and do my best to present to them what I got.
Yeah if you claim to be non biased you should keep the good and bad up. I saw the wing sweep problem on RC Informers video and they brushed it off as just a rough runway. They’re just selling planes. That immediately told me this plane is not for me. There was another pilot who had some rough grass landings and the right main pushed up a bit in the foam also keeping the wing from sweeping. These are things people need to know.
Well the main real reason I took it down is I don't like to complain about somthing without real reasons for a negative comment. This was mostly my opinion with no real substance. However so many people want the video back so I re uploaded it. My next bad review which it will happen will have a list of real reasons more than opinion of why I don't like it with possible fixes. That is more informative and helpful
You gave us your real opinion on that plane. Some are easier to fly than others. Some of these other RUclipsrs make it look so easy and you can’t get a realistic review for the average flyer. I give you credit for that!!
I haven't flown mines yet. But, I noticed that same thing with the ESC's having to be recalibrated. Sometimes when I plug the battery in and barely move the throttle stick one motor will start before the other. If I recalibrate then both will start at the same time. So, when ever I do go to the field, I will always check the EDF's before each take-off. Also, when you was taxiing for that last take-off, the EDF's sounded sluggish.
1- the flaps where still down = no wing sweep 2- this plane is not easy to fly = keep your speed or drop a wing 3- afterburners = mimics the throttle signal not the esc 4- you are a great pilot = weve all had those days when we blame the plane 5- Thank you for your content = i love your channel and what you bring to this hobby.🫡🫡🫡
Some planes are much harder to fly than others and that's also on full scale version, it's like someone jumping to fly a jet when they haven't even flown a low wing trainer that much, back in the balsa days, no way you would try to fly any jet or even a warbird without going through the trainers and so on first, u crash, there's really no gluing back together, j/s
@@reignman0311 Thanks for sharing, but of course this was not my first jet , just a different wing type I am not ready for. but I will try again. Thanks!
i think I overreacted some and was just fed up with this plane. But I did not offer any real reasons as to why I dislike this plane so I did not think it fair to leave it up. But I had so many requests to restore this video so here it is.
I crashed mine shortly after take off. They say it was tail heavy. I might attempt a rebuild but not sure. I like my little Eflight 40 mm F 14 and the Freewing twin 80 mm F 14.
There have been more crashes reported on this one than most and this is just youTubers. I always look at whats going on with a new plane and the community before I buy.
I do watch his videos and fixes are a great content for viewers. I just loose patients with myself when trying to film, narrate and work on something at the same time.
in the end the long term loyal viewers will only accept honest reviewers. i want to keep growing and making a positive impact on this great hobby. I cannot do that with a sales driven sales pitch!
Thanks for restoring the video! Apparently, this time freewing and motionrc really have some problem with this jet but they still try to cover their ass... L39 is gonna be a great flier!
Two super landings, and two not so much, but nothing broken. Just the wings don’t folding in was disappointing, and speed reading wasn’t as high as it looks. But I don’t like this plane anyway…
I would keep practicing with it. Watch for the wing wobble during landing and increase speed. In the long run if it ends up in pieces then good riddance. I feel that the price for that plane is to high, and its not worth the high stress of trying to get a good landing without any damage. I believe motion does have some really good planes, and I feel like freewing tried to improve on the flaws from the 80mm with this model, but this one has PASS written all over it. Just another money pit like the 80mm.
In listening to the audio from your video when you went up high and tried to sweep the Wings. I never heard your radio say flaps up after you had taken off with your flaps down for take-off flaps. This would prevent the wings from sweeping back. I listened a couple of times, and I never heard your radio say flaps up when you were up high. I heard your retracts. it's probably this that prevented your wings from sweeping. Unless you edited part of the video where we could not hear that from your radio, I'm wondering if this is what prevented your wings from sweeping.
I think you were upset after the flight when you said you'd strip her parts, but if you are serious, how much would it cost me to have you ship me the plane after you take out parts?
You did have take off flaps deployed when trying to make the speed run in the second video. I don't know it that is a problem. You should be flying relatively slow any time the wing positions are moved.... if it were me I would do it that way. The big boys will extend the outer flaps in swept mode and the inner auxiliary flaps must remain retracted. Don't know if your model has the main flaps and auxiliary flaps.
You will find the L39 much more relaxing to fly . I have eleven FW jets but there are some I will not buy mainly because my skill level is just not high enough or my grass field is just not suitable and it would be a waste of money. Jets like the F104 and F14 have been very tempting but are not for me. I never buy a new plane until I have seen plenty of video reviews so that I can make the right decision for me !! The wing loading on the F14 is about double that of any of the jets I have and that tells me It needs to fly fast and if you get it too slow or misjudge the speed if you let it get too far away when you turn then it will probably drop a wing and if you get the landing approach too slow you will bounce it and bin it !!! I am sure you will be tempted to keep flying it but I guess you will have to be patient and pick your best weather days. Good luck and enjoy your L39.
Well I already had the FW l-39 80mm in the Russian camo and sold it to a club member. I repurchased it but this time in the red white and blue livery that will be much easier for my wife to film.
