I was at this party. Stevie was so high above the crowd and the mic was low, it was so disappointing live. The recording turned out great. party was great tho. Stevie came back a few months later for his last party (minus the Sunday after party) in Toronto at Liquid Adrenaline count down to Armageddon He died that week. I was devastated. I got to meet him and will never forget this legend! RIP

Love this set. Kenny Ken on fire. This is when mc's didn't think about themselves, but the music. This is when DnB/Jungle was the bomb. Stevie, GQ, Det. Mc's who knew how to hype with DJ's who knew how to rock the crowd.

I have a pirate radio tape where Hyper D rinses General Levy for jacking "Junglists are you ready" He calls him private punk on air and this was back in 1996.

We used to get down to Bar Rumba early, first in, last out. the fact it was so small made it even better, place was rammed, hot, wicked people, and the baddest DJs. Back in the day when we’d go out with only £20 in our pockets, some rizla, and you can guess the rest.
