    I just got this rig. It is absolutely WONDERFUL! I have a 69 SVT from the very first batch with 6146b power tubes and a 73 Flatback 810, and the Heritage rig is 100% its equal, plus it's a little bit lighter and much easier to schlep.

    I'm no amp expert and I could be wrong. As I understand it the tubes have heater filaments in them. The standby switch cuts the audio signal to the tubes so that they can get up to working temperature before they have to start amplifying the signal. It causes a lot of wear and tear on the tubes if they are not hot enough (or too hot if there is no ventilation). The switch also lets you keep the amp on while you take a break or something, since turning the amp on is hard on the tubes.

    I have a 1970 SVT classic @ 8/10 cab. I picked up a used SVT 3 pro because I am getting too old to lug around the beast. Highly recommend both amps. The pro 3 kicks some ass.

    why not another demo for the svt vr and some detailed demos like the v4b demos, even with open and drive tone/?

    So Ampeg, Is The SVT CL the same as the SVT-Aniversary edition tone and spec wise for the most part? If there is any differences what are they? Theres alot of posts on forums but no definitive answers!

    I got what might seem a silly question, but I'm curious...
    When you first turn on the amp, do you have to flip both switches (Stand-by and On/Off) at the same time or do you have to follow another safety procedure?

    at 5:27, i have an svt classic; i have bias 2 perfect just with the green light on, on bias 1 i am not able to get the green light by itself (i can only get the green and red on at the same time), i have fixed the bias before but it is strange this time. Would it be a faulty power tube?

    @AmpegTV The Pre Amp Out and the Power Amp In must have a circuit that senses when a signal is present in the Power Amp In to send the signal to the Pre Amp Out in order to daisy chain multiple SVT Heads. Is that correct, AmpegTV?

      In the signal chain, the Power Amp In is located before the Slave out. So you can keep slaving from one to the next.

    2 or 4 ohm load. No 8 ohm load?

      Yeah it annoys me they don't do it. I'm not fond of the 410hlf and my heritage 810 is not my favourite to lug around. A 8ohm selection should be available. The V4 isn't enough power for me.

    He never explains the slave out,just slaving daisy chain with pre amp out n in. Nor can find videos about slave out.

    • @ampegtv
      @ampegtv  7 лет назад

      The Slave Out contains the same signal that is sent to the Preamp Out. To "slave" another SVT, you would connect the Slave Out of the master (the SVT your bass is plugged in to) into the Power Amp In of the second SVT. By connecting to the Power Amp In of the second SVT, you are also bypassing its preamp section.

      AmpegTV thank you for replying.been looking on info about the slave out for a long time. So there's no way to link them and have the two independent so I can run driven and one clear with out just using a AB stomp box?
