Also a tip, don't be a ding bat like me and when prompted on the console, remember to turn the dial to "OK" that youve cleaned the heat exchanger and not simply click on "0" to confirm - which only selects later lol you'll get constantly reminded of it otherwise 😂
Hello! Sorry to hear this. Might you try un-plugging the device, and after cleaning the filter, leave the filter flap open for a day or two to ‘breathe’ (dry out) a little. The fluff in the filter is often quite wet in mine after heavy use. Good luck!!
Our new hisense dryers manual seems to suggest we should have a foam filter in our heat pump filter but it didn't come with one (ours looks like yours). Is this foam needed?
Are you confirming on the system that you have indeed cleaned them? Mine asks me.. and if i just skip it, it keeps coming up. I don’t believe these have sensors, it is just a general reminder as it is important to do regularly.
It is indeed. I do try to carefully mop up some of the moisture, after cleaning the heat exchanger. If the moisture build up is more considerable, I'll leave the cover open for the rest of the day, and ensure the room is ventilated.
Any chance to retrofit a sponge filter or something like that to these? Or would that just cause more issues than its worth? We have long haired animals so we have been cleaning this almost every week lol
@@worldofcraig Use filtration mat - F7. It does not affect to efficiency and block all dust. You need to replace it after few cycles - depends how much you use your dryer
Is there a way to deep clean the filter? I was in hospital for a while and no one cleaned it and now there’s loads of lint behind it that I can’t reach with the brush and I’m concerned it’s a fire hazard
If the lint has had a chance to dry out, are you able to remove it with a vacuum cleaner? Perhaps maximise the intensity by using a narrow attachment on the suction nozzle. I also have some buildup that I can’t reach, but have never had an issue as long as the more accessible external lint has been taken care of. Good luck!
Called a condenser dryer. I have one and a SDC14709. My whole filter at the bottom comes out and I wash it in the bath. Let it dry and put it back in. The vent on the right can come off. How do I remove this? Is my question...
also a very good option. IF you have the chance. With two young kids at home, we rarely have the time to leave it long enough to dry out.. machine always in use 😂
Yes I hate it. It is always gross and builds up as we have large dogs and dry clothes from wet. They dont want people able to easily remove and clean things I reckon. Much shorter life span
No it doesn't work with a vacuum cleaner. It's wet gunk and you can never clean it properly. My samsung stopped working after 2 years and was lucky I got it repaired under warranty but I can't see it lasting for more than 5 years
I have a hinsense heat pump dryer and it's making a horrible load noise I clean everything you've shown!! I've only had it 6 months
great video, thank you.
Fab..ty for sharing 🎉
Thank you! Very useful video!
Any idea where to get a replacement sponge for the filter?

best useful comment of the week 👍
Could you use a compressed air canister to clean it?
I'd just be cautious about blowing the lint into the machine. Ideally you'd suck it out
Are the foils part of the heat exchanger? Would it also help if I gave them a wipe over with a slightly damp microfiber cloth?
Mine stuck on the screen , it doesn’t do any thing now. I only heve it 1.5 years . Anyone with the same problem?
my bottom 1 was clogged and wet! the dryer has stopped working now. turns on and just hums. any help would be great

hey, I have now the same problem - how did you manage it?
@@danilie6742 drying the bottom with a heater cleaning it out and also giving top lint try a good clean inside n outside
Thanks for the video! Do we need to deep clean it with coil cleaning solution occasionally? Like an air con?
I have never had the need to do that. I keep the filters clean and that seems to do the trick!
My beko has a foam filter there.
Mine is cloged it always been moist so its built up
How did you fix that?
I'd like to know if you solved that too!

🤨 - the second isn’t a filter ~ it is the evaporative side of the dehumidifier coil unit fins - only brush in the orientation of the fins

Samsung DV90T6240LE

I’d recommend it, it is a pain to clean the heat pump filter and putting a foam filter in front of it makes it much easier.
I clean both filters after each use and I still get display message to clean the filter before use.

what is the name of what you use to clean it, please?
I think the original Samsung part is : DC6701092A
Is it normal to have some water behind heat exchanger inner cover?

Hello! I’d worry a sponge style filter would limit the air flow a little bit too much, negatively impacting the efficiency..

It's a tatty way of cleaning, not very effective, the lint is always wet and sticks, I open the hatch let it dry and hoover it.

There’s always stale water that stays at the bottom there.. it stinks and it gross. Doesn’t matter how well you take care of it
I do try to leave the compartment open for several hours, weekly, just to help allow some of the moisture to evaporate.
@@worldofcraigI leave it open too
Why don't you just vacuum it and problem solved 🙄
it doesn't work, as it is not lint, but a combination of lint, moisture and gunk. so it is sticking to the surface
