That squelchy growl you’re getting outta the td-3 is insane! I’ve got a td-3 mo and it has overdrive. It’s massive but it doesn’t itch the ear like the classic distortion.
Chay, it's great set, I checked few moment on rewind and swear I'll listen it from first to last second tomorrow morning🤘 Best wishes from Siberia❤ PS I think it's genious decision to voiceover in the beginning of the video👍 It must be very convenient if something gone wrong, but other things in video is great 🙌
glad you enjoyed it! Honestly, I'm gonna return it. it's good but it needs a LOT of updates for standalone mode, it's more of an Ableton controller which isn't what i'm using it for.
Nice, audio samples felt a bit unprocessed compared to the rest of the set; maybe some tuning on those before the next live set? Good stuff, either way.
TB303 clones let you simply set a pattern length, and program the notes. All the notes are 1/16th notes. This means you can get really interesting rhythms by just making a pattern that is significantly smaller than the main drum pattern. It's not a polyrhythm though! It's a polymeter!
@@theriskymotion I would rather use something else to achieve distortion or drive or even clipping... these Dj mixers already have a huge headroom to deal with Djs, so when it goes RED it doesn't produce pleasant harmonic distortion like a good analog mixer would. Pre Amps are all over the limit, and there is really no point at all in EQIng all the knobs to the top, because the only thing it will get is more volume clipping the input gain.... He could get a much better sound if he gain staged his instruments, kept everything controlled, and then he could use something after the mixer like a compressor/limiter to control the dynamic range.
He's using a Pioneer DJM 900 mixer a pro unit. The inputs can be driven to get that dirty house / acid sound. Try it if you have an analogue mixer and listen what it does to an acid line or kick drum.
I love the way you've choose to present your material. Bit of an explanation no gimmicks.

As we say here in Scotland.

crazy! you're really good... it would be nice to have a video where you explain all the MIDI/USB connections with all the machines ❤

Great jam! What happened to the apc? I've been toying with the Launchpad pro mk3 and find it miles better than the 64 in my opinion.

I think by equal contrast, my neighbours are hating this as much as i am loving it (clipping issues aside) ❤🎉😂

This is 🔥! I love how you keep progressing your 303 to get new acid sounds all the time. Great stuff! What is that mixer you're using?
Yeah, great to see how he uses the mixer so much to manipulate the sound!, great set
Mixer is a djm-900nxs
Acid alter 🎶🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🚀🚀🚀✅🙏👌👍🏼🚀🔥
Have the same setup, can someone please explain how to connect these synths with midi properly
How do these polyrhythms come to be?? Are you putting an odd meter sequence along with a straight drum line?

It's not a polyrhythm though! It's a polymeter!
De puta madre!!!!
How does these polyrhythms come to be??
Love this mini set, using it to do homework might sound odd but it works great for my ADHD brain lol

If Daft Punk did Alive 2023, this is the acid version of of Alive 1997 and 2007

This clipping signal over all the channels is hurting my existence
Analog clipping is actually how they all used to do it to control dynamic range.

Im so sure he is doing that on purpose, if you listen to his other music you know this dude knows his shit, most definitely a stylistic choice
@@Twat2024 Cool! In the end, if he is fine with that, and the audience likes it, there is no more to it =D
