Fortunately, in the next game they improve facial expressions quite a bit, so you'll have less weirdness if you go on to Dragon Age 2 :P (which I recommend, by the way - it gets a lot of understandable complaints, but if you think of it more as an expansion or bridge between Origins and Inquisition, it's still a worthwhile game. Plus you get to meet Aveline
+fiddleanddrum I heard that DA2 is a bit controversial and got quite a bit of fan bashing when it came out. But I will try to keep an open mind about it and make my own judgement once I have played it, which will be right after I finished the Origins DLCs (and a small bonus series in which I will play the remaining 5 origins stories.)
+SkadiLP I could probably write a huge essay about the weaknesses and strengths of that game, haha. It's hard to talk about it without spoilers, but ultimately people were expecting another Origins, and it fell short. It's much smaller/shorter, for one, and the story isn't 'save the world' so much as 'save your family/friends/home'. But it really does have some good characters and Inquisition makes more sense if you've played it. I'll definitely be looking forward to your commentary :3
To be honest, the biggest disappointment I had with DA2, which essentially makes it essentially a shit game even without the comparison to the other two, is the fact that they kept re-using the same areas and blocking some parts of them, which felt odd, unnatural and out of place. I'm sorry, but that crap should not exist in any serious game, let alone one made by Bioware
