  • State of the art underwater carp fishing 7 - Amazing Underwater footage that will change your carp fishing forever! Danny Fairbrass, Ali Hamidi, Tom Dove and Damian Clarke show an amazing insight into modern carp fishing. Ali explains, “I learned so much; I think I came out of there probably 10 years wiser after that month in a bivvy. It’s no longer just Dan and Dan’s view; it’s now my view, Tom’s view and Damian Clarke is there for periods too. You get different people giving honest opinions about what’s happening.”
See the tackle, tactics and tips from some of Team Korda's top anglers put to the test… and for the first time see the carp react too.
The mission was simple. Go to the busiest day-ticket complex in the UK Linear and fish St John’s, one of its most popular lakes, which is steeped in history and full of pressured carp that have seen every trick in the book.
What do these carp respond to? What are their favourite baits? Which rigs are most effective? What do they make of high-viz pop-ups and baits? Will the St John’s monsters put in eagerly awaited appearances? With seven years of carp fishing development since the original underwater films, can Team Korda come out on top, or will the carp win this underwater duel?
Underwater 7 was the penultimate DVD in our underwater journey and saw everything thrown at the team. Expecting tame spring temperatures, they received hurricanes and hailstones, with lashings of pain! At times it seemed like a lost cause, and although there were moments when all seemed destined for failure, fate would prove otherwise.
Do you want to see some of the most enthralling underwater footage ever produced? Do you want to see angling history being made? Sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the start of a new era in our sub-surface, carp fishing voyage… This is Underwater 7.
Coming Soon Underwater 8 in FULL HD available for FREE on RUclips.

I’d love to see you try tactics that you don’t think would catch fish. Unflavoured plastic pop ups, rigs that aren’t traditionally suited to the lake bed, tight lines through the water. Would be really interesting to see if those things have as much of a negative affect as we’d expect.

Well the lesson I’ve learnt from this is hardly use any boilies, bulk it out with sweet corn and pellet otherwise they’re not interested! Cheers Korda you’ve saved me a fortune 👌

Great Chapter boys, really enjoyed it. Watched both on the trot.
I do think you put to much bait in, in the first place boys, the carp came to take a looksie & thought Jesus what's goin on here & spooked em for 2 days.
    Little & often.
Rigs. Less is more, keep it simple, braid hook length, curve hook, boillie or pop up corn, x3 boillie stringer. Job done owd.
    IMO.
Get some sleep now boys you're all looking a bit red eyed after that🤩

I think when they all get excited in the Bivvy, the fish pick up on the vibrations because of the lines in the water and the rods on the bank by the bivvy. Like the old two cans and piece of string thing us old kids used to play with years ago. Keep the line tight and the vibrations the other end are increased.

This is such an insightful episode, really makes you assess how you do things
How often would you guys recommend to re-cast the rods during the day if there's no takes? On a day session I usually recast around the 2 hour mark with no takes. Also how often should I be refreshing my bottom bait boilies, they break down fairly quickly, is it better to recast the same boilie or put a fresh one on? Cheers.

Absolutely a brilliant documentary and a great joint effort from you all, but why didn't you let the other 2 cast and reel in some of the bites after you had already caught the big mirror, was it because your the boss and in charge? a little selfish I thought!

Of course I respect Fairbrass, his flatliners still no1 run leads, but fishing loses its mystery with cameras, and old bob is still in hospital after what he saw on cameras at former bream mecca Coombe Abbey.

Loving this footage and looks like an awesome venue! I’m looking at doing a week there in may and was wondering what you would use there in terms of hookbait. I usually use a 14mm fruity flavoured boilie which I have had a few good fish on and am confident in using and was going to take there to use at Linear. Many thanks

Also a smaller hook? I'm not a carp fisherman but usually when bites are scarce the tendency is to scale things down.

Yes you caught fish but maybe you can be your worst enemy by making rigs so complicated when a normal hook and line would have sufficed. Bent hooks, lead core, stiff this, limp that, lead putty, leads, critically balanced pop ups, stiff rigs, plastic bait, and then it's bait on top of this. For me they sense the lead and that lead putty next to the book that's why it gets spat out like us putting a battery on our tongue. Are fish afraid of what they can see or what they can't see but detect? Like you and I walking down a dark alley way into a spider's webb spooks you don't it! But if you see it you avoid it go around it. This is nature,so all this camo thing is utter nonsense. Match anglers don't do all this but if they were to go on these carp speci waters??
