Super interesting series! I don’t like the idea of private corporations letting people pay to visit the iss, I feel like it should be exclusive to actual scientists doing important research, not a playground for billionaires.

And these damn private corporations are given Tax Payer dollars while jacking up their prices to suit their profit motives and wealthy share holders

I remember having to learn about the Canada Arm on the ISS in high school. I wonder if they still use it?🤔

They still use it and Canada is building a new one for the Lunar Gateway station.

Hopefully the SpaceX Starships Cargo version could take down the ISS intact bit by bit and put it in the National Air and Space museum might need to build an extension.

Dunno why they don't think about building a skyhook / space tether

It's a shame that they couldn't attach a booster or some kind of rocket to Rendezvous with Skylab it could have still been up in space and much more spacious interior would have benefited astronauts.

A skylab 2.0 could be launched by SLS though I doubt they will dedicate on of their few SLS rockets for it. The next best bet would be launching a giant Skylab via Starship once that starts becoming operational.

Why dont they just boost the ISS into lunar orbit ?? Its already in space anyway

Too old too fragile and it costs more than actually building a new one

Also a lunar space station that big is not necessary and too costly to maintain compared to the Lunar Gateway.

maybe to stop excluding them from international projects would help.
They are willing to cooperate with the west, as you can see in the ITER project.

So sad that scientific advancement has to be slowed down, because of political differences.

Hopefully the dictatorial Putin regime will eventually give way to a representative democracy. Same goes for China. Also, we need to work towards ending the massive corruption that has afflicted many democratic governments in the past few decades giving rise to corporate welfare and tax systems that punish those who actually work for a living
