@@sethmoss8671 an epic burn from the one Charlie and the chocolate factory character that makes my blood boil because of how much of a spoiled brat she is. (As Willy Wonka said “Charlie don’t forget what happened to the boy who suddenly got everything he ever wanted. He lived happily ever after. But he had to earn it.)
Actually, in this film, Violet Beauregarde can be seen as a tragic figure, paradoxically. Well, at the beginning of the film, she may seem the worst of all children, but you quickly notice one fundamental difference between Violet and the rest of the children. When the rest of the kids chose the wrong path on their own and their parents didn't object, in this movie it was Violet's mother who chose this path for her, Violet's mother purposely raised her to be a person whose sole purpose in life is to compete with others and her mother only owned Violet for competition and satisfying her pride, thus Violet did not quite consciously choose this path. In the film, it is also clear that Violet's mother is actually the most evil character in this film, who is not punished. Finally, in the room with inventions, Violet, unlike other versions, does not receive clear warnings that chewing this gum is dangerous, and her mother encourages her to chew gum, telling her that it is a competition and that she must chew this gum to be the first child who will be chewed that gum. And when Violet turns into a blueberry, Violet's mother only cares that Violet won't be able to compete, that is, fulfill her whims, and Wonka was obviously happy that Violet became a blueberry and the song that was sung and probably also because he didn't give her a clear warning, and it was mainly because of Violet's mother that she became a mutant, so you could say that other of these children would be more indebted to such a fate in this film.
Besides that, I think it is important to realize these are all just spoiled children and didn't deserve to be permanently disfigured for being unpleasant

He wasn't only covered in chocolate, but it made his body become chocolate. He was literally eating himself. He's going to have to control his eating habits if he wants to live, literally.
Violet (apart from Gloop) seems to be the only one happy with her outcome, she was so optimistic when she was squeezed and exited the factory "Look mom, i'm so much more flexible now". Makes me want to see how she and the others are in the future.
People wondering why she doesn’t stop chewing think of it this way, this girl chews gum constantly it must feel weird not chewing gum, so when she starts to panic she doesn’t stop chewing because it’s strange for her to stop, it’s like if there was poison gas and you just decided to stop breathing, you have to you just can’t help it
If there was poison gas, you’d better well believe I’m going to stop breathing! In the broadway musical version, she does in fact die. In west end, instead of having her own special performance by the Oompa Loompas, Wonka explains the lore about them before the song ends and a Oompa Loompa shoots her with a spit-ball causing her to pop and explode.

Joseph Doria Well, Charlie still had a ‘bad’ upbringing, but that was situational, not personalitywise. He was humbled by his upbringing while the others got greedy, prideful, arrogant, and gluttonous.
I think the other parents probably raised their children out of good intentions, but you can tell Violet's mom deliberately raised Violet to be super competitive since she's also competitive herself
@@OfficialDuckox Violet's mom seems more concerned about her daughter being able to compete rather than her safety. I can see your point with the other parents, but Mrs. Beauregarde is kind of an asshole.
The parents of the other kids were just enablers who never discouraged bad behaviours and so their kids became brats, but Violet’s mom deliberately raised her daughter to be extremely competitive
Fun fact: the 2005 movie was more true to the book than the earlier movie. The Oompa Loompa songs ain the movie are one such example, check the subtitles for the song with the book, you’ll be surprised if you didn’t know already.

Goodiesfanful I blame Violet's mother. Think about it, during Violet's interview, all her mother could talk about was all the trophies she earned. Before chewing the gum, Violet told Wonka, "I'm not afraid of anything!" Violet was conditioned by her mother to do everything and fear nothing. Violet's mother even told her to KEEP CHEWING! Because of her mother, all Violet knew was to chew and win.
You can see how the mom is dressed exactly like violet In my experience kids are major assholes because parents made them that way . They shaped their daughter/son into their own image because they couldn’t do it .
Well they had to do that for the fans of the original film And the fact that they still had the Oompa Loompa songs made it somewhat like the original So fans of it better be grateful!!
I love how everyone’s talking about the “I can’t have a blueberry as a daughter, how is she supposed to compete?” “You could put her in a county fair” But not about the fact that her mother was more concerned about the fact that she couldn’t compete anymore, but not that her daughter was a Frikin blueberry
The sad thing is, her transformation was caused by her, but her mom was also to blame. If her mom didn’t raise her to never give up and to never loose, this wouldn’t have happened
At the end of the movie Violet has been juiced and is extremely flexible. But it's her mom that complains that she is blue. She could compete in gymnastics and seems excited about her new talent. But all her mom des is complain about the fact that she is blue. Violet is at fault for what happened to her, but her mother produced the I must win mindset in her. Honestly I would love to write an essay about all of the kids who lost the competition and how bad parenting was what led them to their fates. I'd be happy to give my points if anyone wants to hear them.
This has gotta be THE most agonizing outcome for the 4 naughty children. Aside from being unable to move, her body seemed to be hurting so much during the process. Just thinking about how much pressure she had in her, that sounds pretty painful 😖
I mean she might have overreacted a little bit she was a little tight though, and her body was altered, so I am sure this one would be upthere the good thing is she could still breath a little bit.
God looking back, Veruca looked so menacingly satisfied with Violet's fate, she was relishing it. I love that detail. Also going back over it I notice they had Violet's eyes turn blue as well during her transformation, that's a real neat touch.
Since there's a lot of recent comments, I'd like for y'all to know that this version is actually an adaption of the book and not a reboot of the "original" 😊 The author actually hated that movie as they completely stripped it of his writing while still taking his credit. So next time you might get defensive over somebody preferring the Johnny Depp version, remember that before getting hurt ^^
If any of you have seen the theory video on this, something I can add to it is that after this song finishes, Violet shouts for Mr Wonka as though she still trusts him and thinks this is some sort of mistake. Clearly he was clever enough at manipulating the people he invited so that he was ensure that they came out of his factory as better people and didn't question how Charlie had gotten the factory because he was quiet the entire time.
Whether or not you like this adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel, you have to admit, Danny Elfman and Deep Roy went above and beyond with the music numbers.
People point out that violet does not deserve it because her mother made her competitive, this is true but not only for violet, all the kids are products of bad parenting, the book was made as a scary story for kids but also a critique to parents, wonkas backstory also involve bad parenting and how it shapes us as adults
Violets mother used her for fame Augustus’s mother let him eat way too much unhealthy food Veruca’s father spoiled her way too much Mike’s father barely disciplined him
Honestly, Watching tons of anime myself, This... This is 100% correct in every way Like, The protag would say something like "Nobody can or will ever survive this" then performs some demon ritual which would seem like it could kill just about anything and then the villain just walks out like that. Definitely Underrated Comment, Good Job.
Someone good with video editing should make an edit of a Dragonball Z fight but with the Oompa Loompas. I'd also like to imagine they'd come out of the smoke and still do a musical number, but about a different subject. Like how they're gonna kick the protagonist's ass.
Violet Beauregard: a scientific explanation 1. The gum itself. The blueberry in the blueberry pie and ice cream dessert phase should would of have to double it’s juices for flavor. Judging by the color that violet turns, it’s safe to say the blueberry flavor was supposed to react to the saliva for extra flavor. This may also be why violet keeps chewing. 2. Changing color. Last paragraph, I talked about the saliva reacting to the gum. Saliva is almost made entirely of water. (apart from mucus and minerals) I am not sure why it would react to the body itself. Although I would think she would either have swallowed it or a certain compound of the gum would react to the body somehow. All of the blue fusing into her body would make sense but there is 2 things: her eyes and clothes. First off, her eyes do turn blue, but only the iris. It may just be because of the time it takes for the body to turn the water into juice may take certain times longer due to genes. The clothes turned blue because of sweating. Sweating is often associated with nervousness, which is what she’s clearly experiencing. This is also why her clothes don’t rip. It’s because they are stuck to her body. 3: swelling up. Although I am not sure where it exactly would swell up, it would definitely be across the body. Her entire body would be in so much pressure causing pain. There would especially be a lot of pain where the cerebrospinal fluid would be since it’s not meant to blow up like that. Her lungs would definitely fill up with juice at one point causing drowning. 4: treatment. Juicing her body would be very tough and cruel and I will try my best to give a good treatment without having it be a 13+/18+ read. To get rid of the fluid, they would need to give her a high amount of laxatives to promote bowel movement’s. This would get rid of all the juice near the area. The extra juice where the cerebrospinal fluid would be would’ve have to be sucked out from a induced leak. 5. Recovery. She would have to drink lots of water to get out the juice naturally. Another natural remedy would be sweating. She would need as much of the juice out to prevent the body from responding hostile toward the juice. She would also have increased flexibility and stretched skin which would require an extra surgery. This is doctor carewalker, signing off!
I feel like if it was a horror movie and in this scene if they wanted a gory death they could keep inflating her until she pops like a balloon spilling blood and guts everywhere
Veruca's reaction (1971): Her jaws dropped and in shock as she watched Violet blowing up as a blueberry. Veruca's Reaction (2005) : Calmly smirking and smiling at Violet like, "You're Busted" or "Loser" while watching Violet turn blue.

I love the twisted horror that is this movie. It seems so silly, but imagine you chew what you assume is a regular piece of gum only to find out that it'll permanently scar you. It's the body horror that does it for me. I certainly wouldn't want to be Violet in this situation LMAO

@@E4439Qv5Kinda makes you think what that anatomy looks like, are the organs still there? Has the blood been replaced with Juice? If Violet had kids, what would they look like, I need answers!
I keep seeing comments about how Violet kept chewing the gum despite clearly being scared by the blueberrification process. Maybe her gum chewing habit started as a coping mechanism to deal with her mom's competitive lifestyle, and she kept chewing because she was scared.
Also, in the lyrics, the Oompa Loompa mentioned a lady chewing so much for so long, the jaws are automatic.

Goodiesfanful I blame Violet's mother. Think about it, during Violet's interview, all her mother could talk about was all the trophies she earned. “I can’t have a blueberry as a daughter, how is she supposed to compete?”
“You could put her in a county fair”
But not about the fact that her mother was more concerned about the fact that she couldn’t compete anymore, but not that her daughter was a Frikin blueberry
The sad thing is, her transformation was caused by her, but her mom was also to blame. If her mom didn’t raise her to never give up and to never loose, this wouldn’t have happened
Her mom is a karen
At the end of the movie Violet has been juiced and is extremely flexible. But it's her mom that complains that she is blue. She could compete in gymnastics and seems excited about her new talent. But all her mom des is complain about the fact that she is blue. Violet is at fault for what happened to her, but her mother produced the I must win mindset in her. Honestly I would love to write an essay about all of the kids who lost the competition and how bad parenting was what led them to their fates. Violet Beauregard: a scientific explanation
So she can fix herself and also keep the flexibility and Mike is fucked
