    Anita explains completely, each part of the new Baby Lock Euphoria machine, how to thread, attach accessories, and ways to get the most out of a coverstitch machine. Thanks, Baby Lock for recognizing the need to sponsor competent and enthusiastic educators as a way to promote and sell your high-quality machines. Not all dealers are lucky enough to have an "Anita" on staff. I have been waiting to take in-person classes (avoiding Covid precaution). Anita is just the answer. I hope you can keep her busy showing us new ideas and how Baby Lock is our best sewing friend. 100% helpful, 100% clear & concise 100% enthusiasm

      SECONDED! I have been trying to decide whether to invest in a coverstitch machine. This was so helpful to learn what I could do. Most of the websites just tell you that "you can coverstitch". Well, duh. Thanks for showing how it works on different fabrics and for different applications.

    I purchased my Euphoria about 7-8 months ago and do not regret this purchase. I previously had another cover stitch machine, but as I told my dealer, it’s like driving a Toyota and upgrading to to a Rolls Royce. The first one will get you there, but the luxury edition make the journey so much more enjoyable. What I particularly like is that I can sew off the edge and don’t have to tug at any threads. Pure joy. Great video, thanks for sharing.

I have a separate cover stitch machine because I find changing over from serging to cover stitch on the Triumph cumbersome. I have tried the Eloflex threads in a standard machine with a stretch stitch…save your money. The Coverstitch machine is worth its weight in gold.

    You are the greatest Anita! If I didn't have the Babylock Triumph, I would get this machine after seeing your video. You could take that specialty thread chain you created and couch it with invisible thread to add dimension to a garment! You could really upscale a seamline by sewing that created chain within the ditch of the seamline. Currently, I use braid in the inside of my jacket's inside seams in this way.

    I searched for an answer to a specific question and discovered your channel. You made it clear that only after threading and stitching the first stitch that the needles must begin into the fabric and thenafter, subsequent lines of stitching can begin with a chain onto the fabric. Thank you for clarifying that for me. I am looking forward to more video content.

    Hi Anita. You are a born teacher and the work and help that went into this video is not lost on this gal. 🙏🏼 💗I am learning to like my cover stitch more and more with each project. Your tips are wonderful. I really need to try using it on wovens. I do think the learning curve can much more steep than some people are willing to deal with. Payoff for learning is really good though. I think my biggest frustration with knits is ironing up the hem to the exact same measurement all the way around. Easy on wovens. Not as easy on knits. Thank you again for your time, treasure and talent! 😘

    • @evelynwald9132
      @evelynwald9132 3 года назад +1

      Try a little spray starch on your knits to help flatten them before your turn them up to your desired hem width. Knits can be a little curly. I agree with you about Anita, I really want a cover stitch machine after watching her video, so informative and right to the point.

      Another tip, and something I do with most of my really thin knits that curl: Apply a strip of knit interfacing along the raw edge of the hem. Just cut a strip the width of your hem allowance. It works so well with pressing up the hem on knits because it gives you that ridge to follow.
