SME was way too ambitious with NCT without properly planning ahead for anything. Members were supposed to “graduate” from this group and either A. Only be members of NCT 127 or B. Wait in NCT U until they were placed in a new group with a permanent line up. Fortunately, they decided to let go of that fleeting idea back in 2020 and let Mark back into the group. But still, I can’t imagine how that must’ve made him feel.

Graduation system was a flawed system in the first place… Debuting a group of MINOR(5 of them literally childhood friend) with baby cute faced that remained even at their 20’s and called them ‘temporary’, giving them flawless discography..then under-promoting them…no wonder their fans didn’t throw hissy fits-

If you really think about it this is pretty fair. Jaemin is the visual and center so despite not having as much lines as the others, he will always shine in the middle of every song. Jisung too who is more known for his amazing dancing skills will always kill a dance break or last chorus. You would rarely see this for our three vocalists with a lot of lines so yeah

But away from screen time you can also consider how much they are individually promoted too. I don't think Renjun or Chenle have ever gotten solo magazine shoots(?) and Haechan has had like 2(?). But Jeno is a brand ambassador yk. And Mark (typically gets the most lines out of the rappers but still less than the vocalists) is also an ambassador and has 2 solo songs. My point can also be contradicted though because the other two rappers, Jaemin and Jisung are also not given nearly as much promotion as Jeno, Mark, and 127 members (minus Taeil) outside of music loll. But they do have those guaranteed center positions. I guess it really just matters on the context. In a mv or music show context, I feel that it is fair.
