I have an assortment of items from the same wreck: an 8 reale, half reale, musket ball, a copper spike, and a few cannonball shards, but I hope to one day get a hold of an escudo from the wreck
you have to pay the finders of the wrecks money first to search that area, otherwise you could be arrested and your gear and boat seized. But if you find an undiscovered wreck some where else, that would be good too, you have to know which sites are claimed and which are not.
The biggest problem, as I see it, is getting under TEN FEET of sand!! These heavy coins aren't floating on top of the sand, they've been SINKING for centuries!!! So even IF you have a boat and equipment and the blessing of one of the greediest states in the union, you STILL need to get ten feet down to even look!
Lol that illustration of the prop wash deflector was hilarious , like it has 100 ft of pipe hanging off the back down to the seabed , what the guy dropped off the back of the boat is it the wash does the rest
So your correct in the fact that we don’t (my family) own the rights to the 1715 fleet. Howeverrr 😁 my family does have the proper certification and licensing from the company and the state of Florida who does “own” the rights to dive and recover artifacts from this historical site. And yes we aren’t “that” family (which is the Fishers family to be exact) but we work for them and absolutely have the right. So no fake news here 😊
People, if it were not for the treasure salvors, the state museums and others would never have the opportunity to see these treasures. The expense that goes into this type of work is beyond words. Spain under its Warship legal argument should have claim to the treasure, but it would not be fair to the salvors after all the hard work and expense. Spain, or the State of Florida can put their money into discovery, but they don't.
It would be great if the greedy bastards of the state didn't take FIFTY percent of all findings when You already have the owners of the wreckage taking profit. Vice versa
DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW WHY THE WORD; GANGPLANK would be etched into a Peru Philip V 2 escudos coin? With the numbers 88 underneath, This appears to be machine engraved possibly, right across the cross on the coin. Thank you in advance!
I FOUND ( 31 PEARLS, 1 GOLD NECKLACE, 1 GOLD BRACELET, 1 GOLD RING , 4 OTHER RINGS , 1 GOLD COIN , A COIN FROM THE YEAR 1752 ) THATS IT .... HOW MUCH WOULD THAT BE ???
Only 10 ships sank in what was call the plate fleet. the entire fleet and it was originally discovered by Kip Wagner, and that was close to Sebastian Inlet. this has to be from a different time and not part of the one's that sank in 1715.
Ron Bowman same fleet I’m afraid to tell you. As you said there was 10 (actually 11) ships and you’re correct that there is several by the Sebastian Inlet. However one of those 10 wrecked just a few miles south of the St Lucie Inlet which is where we found this haul from 😊
met kip in a whole foods in pompano beach spotted the eight on his neck he found the jupiter wreck original finders were the real eight who sold their rights to queens jewels kip found spanish silver from a wreck in jupiter from 1659
I would keep the gold and tell no body!!! I'd melt it down and sell it for the price of gold. Of course, if I'd make more $$ by reporting it then I would report it.
Chris Rivas from San Antonio Texas I will be coming to Florida this summer Herman's Bay Beach Just purchase brand new Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II will be staying at my hotel right on the beach about 7 or 8 days I have some very strange look in my life you probably won't believe me but I'm telling you the God's honest truth about 9 years ago I found an alien life-form Rock it was 3.6 million years old this rock came to life and show me his images pretty scary stuff I'm telling you the God's honest truth so when I get to Florida I know I will probably strike gold can find things that most people can't so I will find some golden doubloons or golden coins I have pinpoint accuracy me and my Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II will find it from the 1715 Fleet
Nice socialistic thing going.......let someone else work for it and I get my cut for doing nothing. Might as well just say you have to split it with everyone in the us. So heres your .0005 of a cent for all your hard time consuming work. Then you'll probably have to pay taxes on the .0005 of a cent. If I ever find anything of value its going to be shultz all over again.....I hear nothing, I see nothing, I say Nothing............
Lmao what, that's gold from the America's. Spain stole all that from, if anything it'd be property of Latin American counties but we know the modern world doesn't work that way and the US will not allow that.
It belongs to Spain. There is a code regulation and by law whatever is found from a sank boat belongs to the owner of the boat not the country or anyone else.
Lesson here: do NOT speak a word, simply sell your find one coin at a time discreetly
And definitely no posting vids online

Amazing! :-)
How much do the finder's get paid for finding it gold etc....
Dutch gold from VOC ship
They should have not spoken a word, melted each gold coin to hide the markings, and sold 1 coin at a time.
the value is not only the gold, but the history of the coins, so, a coin is worth more than a piece of gold (same weight)
You don't melt down antique coins and ruin the numismatic collectable value unless you were born without a brain.
