    Let me tell you what!!! Rice and beans will never be the same after you taste this amazing recipe. 😋🤤😋🤤 My 4 year old son absolutely loves this dish and so does everyone who tries it!! Where do you buy the meats?

      Thank you! I'm glad you guys like it! That's so true. There is no bean dish like Feijoada. I bought the paio online. A few websites have it. I got everything else at Publix: Nettle's mild Country sausage, Uncle John's mild Country sausage, the Portuguese linguiça and the Country style pork ribs.

      I miss Brazil too. I am from Recife. I haven't been there in a while. I would love to go back to visit. Yes, brazilians are warm and welcoming.

    I'm seeing this on 8/01/24. I was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 1982 to 1984. I love Fejadia I couldn't get enough of it. I have made it several times .

      The flavor is like no other. Gotta put meat and seasonings in those beans, or they're just going to be boring.

    Hi. I'm from Korea. Approximately 13 or 14 years ago, I had visited Brazil for business I stayed there almost one week.
    I met an Japanese guy who was born in Brazil by chance. And he took me a buffet restaurant where placed many of Feijoada soups in San Paulo. It was my first try at taste Feijoada and It really really wonderful delicious food ever I've experienced.
    Unfortunately there is no Brazil restaurant in Korea, so I can't taste it anymore. I'm still missing taste of Feijoada

      So glad to know you got to go there and tasted feijoada. It can be made with different meats and even dried beef chunks. A great culinary experience.

    I had a Brazilian Friend , I learned how to make Feijoada from Him , Im Italian , He tryed it and said I that it was the Best Feijoada He ever had 😊 I didn't cook it for almost 5 Years because He went back to Brazil , My Feijoada is only with Beef , Onions and Black Beans , Fresh Garlic , Black Pepper, Salt , Bay Leaf , I kept it Simple and a Mixed Salad on the Side

      My uncle makes feijoada with churrasco meat. It's really good, too. Each time I make it, I use a different type of meat. It's a versatile dish.

      Obrigada. Essa é uma feijoada simples, mais com carne. A minha tia colocava repolho, maxixe, quiabo e até jerimum. Ficava ma-ra-vi-lho-sa.

    I respect someone who scrapes down the sides of the pot. It bothers me when I see a cook make food and just leave the good stuff on the sides of the pot

      Yes, definitely. I always scrape the sides of the pans, bowls, you name it.

    What brand beans and rice do you use? What if I don’t have filtered water?? Will an instapot work?

    • @lusilvaiscooking
      @lusilvaiscooking  Год назад +1

      I use the store brand beans (Publix). I use Mahatma long grain white rice, but any good quality works. You may use any purified, distilled, or spring water that's sold in gallon or larger containers. I just don't use tap water because it not only has too many impurities, but it also tastes bad. Especially here in Florida. Any pressure cooker works. I'll be making a different feijoada in my Instant Pot in a future video. Stay tuned.

    Hi! I've been trying to figure out what brand is your Pressure Cooker lol?

    • @lusilvaiscooking
      @lusilvaiscooking  Месяц назад +1

      It's T-fal. It's probably close to being 30 years old now; back when things were made to last.
      It's still perfect. Even the pressure gasket is in great shape. Oldie but goodie.

    No botes el agua de los frijoles, hechacela a las plantas es muy buena para ellas. Don't throw away the water from the beans, pour it on the plants, it's very good for them.

    Como Brasileira vc devia saber que isso não é vinagrete, é MOLHO A CAMPANHA, VINAGRETE É OUTRA COISA

    • @lusilvaiscooking
      @lusilvaiscooking  2 месяца назад

      É chamado Vinagrete sim, mas tem gente que chama Molho de Campanha ou molho para churrasco.
      A base do molho é feita com vinagre, daí o nome.
