Aerosol is an Italian band formed in 1982 in Genoa. The two founders Franco Debernardi (keyboards, vocals) and Tony Tedde (bass), with artistical backgrounds in Mysterious Melody and ICM (Impronta di Cuore Meccanico), gave birth to this project with the aim of connecting Progressive music with Italian song. The first line-up included Maurizio Stagnitto (guitar) and Rocco Cirigliano (drums), then replaced by Alfredo Vandresi. In 1981 Aerosol recorded "Solo Una Goccia Nel Mare" and "Fuochi d'Inverno". Later, Maurizio Stagnitto left the group, then the group remained a trio. The band, after the first influences of English Progressive went towards new wave sounds. This emerged by the new songs "Cina" and "Disco Yoga", in a highly appreciated 7"45 rpm co-produced by Sotter Records. In the studio recordings they were helped by guitarists Claudio Vallegra (ex Mysterious Melody), Massimo Gori (ex Latte e Miele) and Claudio Capurro (sax). This vinyl was broadcasted by various independent radio stations in Genoa. The trio was very successful with various interviews also in Rai Radio 2 thanks to the DJ journalist Luca De Gennaro. The band participated to various festivals including the Rock Italian Festival at the Teatro Verdi (Genoa Sestri Ponente) and than at Palasport in Genoa with Radio Monte Carlo organisation. Then Ugo Bigozzi's guitar added more Brit New Wave sounds. The group continued its live performances, such as those at the Araldo Theater in Genoa Sturla, with the exceptional guest Claudio Capurro, and in Ronco Scrivia. In that period, "Scene Dal Mio Ultimo Film" and "Triangolo Delle Bermuda" had been recorded at Sotter Studio Records with Ugo Bigozzi. After a period of crisis and lack of inspiration they decided to change their musical genre to Italian song by including in the band Angela Macheda (voice). At this point, Aerosol recorded two new songs at the Gulliver Studio in Genoa: "Io vivrò" and "Donne". These live songs showed Angela's wonderful voice and dry modern sound. Then, in 1984, the group participated to Sanremo Giovani music festival selection process, unfortunately without success. After a few months Franco Debernardi and Angela Macheda left the group. The survivors tried a new way of playing with the New Wave, with Bartenor Edo (ex Scortilla, vocals) and Fabio Giorgi (keyboards, accordion) who made some good recordings. After a short time, Ugo Bigozzi (guitars) died tragically and this story definitively represented, at the beginning of 1985, the end of Aerosol. During the Covid years, Antonello Tedde and Franco Debernardi began to write new songs again, treasuring their intense experiences of many years with an extraordinary enthusiasm. This song represents a wonderful example.
