I've listened to so much metal throughout my life, and most of my current favorites have evolved past what most metalheads even deep dive into, but I still find myself coming back to this album in particular still, even decades later after I first got it when I was a kid. A cousin of mine that probably doesn't even listen to them anymore got me into them back in the late '90s after giving me Burial and I just always appreciated how well they made their music. Undeceived will probably always stay in my regular rotation of albums. One of those rare gems that needs to be in ever metalhead's collection imo
same man, same.. Been listening to Extol for 20+ years and i'm pretty sure not a single year has gone by to where I don't revist them. There's just something so unique about them.. it's timeless. Stoked for their new album!
I love how each Extol album focuses on a different style of metal. My mood can easily determine which one I listen to. Their Synergy album has so many great riffs (especially when you are in a Thrash mood).
Wow! Someone finally noticed Extol! Hooray! Would love to see you react to Becoming the Archetype. Extol was one of their big influences. Check out The Epigone.
Someone requested it, its the joy of doing the channel, i get to find so many new bands, only issue is trying to please everyone means i have a long list of requests...
This is one of my all time favorite songs ever. Album as well. It's really rare to see reactions bc extol doesn't allow a lot of their music to put anywhere. They for me got me into the djent/progressive metal back in the 2000s. I feel like they don't get the credit they deserve for their innovative sound. Guitar tones, vocals clean also. The drums, the bass. I'd listen to inferno, or ember if you can find it.
progressive death metal with blackened elements. Best description I have for it. Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow, thanks so much for the reaction! I love seeing Extol getting some air time, this album was among the most formative of my youth
same man, absolutely essential in my life

Extol in my opinion is the best Black Metal band in Scandinavia! 🤟
Woah woah woah Best black metal band... more like best Metal band
Extol is an underrated band. They've spawned several other interesting bands like Mantric, Fleshkiller, and Azusa.
@@gen-xennial3826 I didn't realize that. I'll have to take a listen!
Fleshkiller is underrated.
Don't forget Becoming the Archetype
Don't forget the Ole Børud. He is so underrated.
Lengsel as well

Extol is one of the best metal bands
"Rewenal" from this album is about as amazing as any song I've ever heard.
